Dear Bungie,
I was curious about something for a while now, and I wanted to ask you this question.

What is your computer hardware or specifications?

Thanks!

Whoo.

I'm not sure the few hundred employees each have the same set up, some people might need more monitors or better hardware or specialised equiptment, unless you mean something specific like the specifications of their server farm.

I'm one of those storm chasers that will never have a TV show because I don't scream at clouds.

Better than the minimum specs for Halo 2 Vista.

But that's gaming's requirement. Bungie probably use some workstation that is beyond gaming's requirement to make games that is runnable for recommend machines.

I certainly hope they're using better machines than Halo 2's minimum specs.

I would assume it isn't maximum security-type info.

Mourne not your comrades who must dwell / too strong to strive -

But rather mourne the apathetic throng / The cowed, and the meek -
Who see the world’s great anguish and its wrong / And dare not speak.

I would guess mostly windows 7 with modern specs on most of the machines. Probably some highly spec'd computers for computations, renders, or other stuff. And certainly some Macs in the art department, and probably spread around elsewhere.

When it comes to typical computer hardware these days, "good enough" is usually good enough.

Why Vista when they could just have a basic binary set up going?

Probably like any software company, their developers and graphic guys have to have high end machines to compile and debug. Their marketing and writing team probably don't have too demanding of PCs.

And Marty......he gets HAL.

Bungie: We use inferior computers because we used to make games on them in the early 90s!
