The beta is super awesome. RogueAssassin27 is now the person who got my Totodile's nickname. Hoo-hah! Relevant.inb4lock

Paper aircraft simulator, the best of it's genre. Realistic rapid wind changes and children looking where the plane landed.

This is the way the world ends,
This is the way the world ends,
This is the way the world ends;
Not with a bang but a whimper.

I'm guessing RPG. Bungie has a tendency to expand their gaming horizons and they have yet to do an RPG.

You imply a level of control over Halo: Reach matchmaking that we no longer have. Or, in your vernacular, it isn't our shiznit anymore.

Active 9/1/11, Heroic 12/25/12

I'm hoping for a very innovative RPG based game.

I agree. I am also guessing that it will be an RPG, for similar reasons, but also as, from the limited information we have on Destiny, an RPG sounds quite plausible. However, it is perfectly possible for it to be most of the genres listed.

Words of wisdom all around, but no one ever seems to listen. The words are all around but the words are only sound. But nobody seems to listen. Instead they'll say, "Well how could we of known?" I'll tell em, "It's really not so hard to tell. keep adding stones, and the water gets lost in the well."

Way to go. Now everyone's gonna see the golden septagon and think you guys announced the genre. :P

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

Bungie should make a game where you have to keep upgrading a sling shot so it can fire things into the sun while avoiding lumpy pudding monsters.

Anyone else come in here hoping you'd hear what the next genre would be thanks to the Golden Septagon, but knowing full well it would be a smart-remark?

Can someone tell me what's wrong with these two, this made me LOL hard.

ROBOT PIRATE NINJAS!!! From outer space.

TO be honest, to me, that's actually plausible.

  • 11.04.2011 4:50 PM PDT

I hope it's going to be something so new and cool that it won't fit into any genre box. That would be great. Gotta figure that whatever it is it will have to revolve around online competition and phat stats. I know that I'm going a touch bonkers dreaming up crazy possibilities and I'm quite certain Bungie are nuttier than I.

Yeah. Thanks, Honeydew ;P

I don't have any idea what to expect from them, but I'm hoping for some type of RPG adventure game. That would be sweet.
