As many of you know, the manual explains most of the workings of the game, but only in brief. If you want any answers on questions the manual does not answer or if you don't have a manual, post a comment stating your question. If you happen to know the answer to a question that was posted, please post a comment answering the question(s). I will also try to check this regularly and answer any questions given.

Nope. SouthPole isn't a person. He's the avatar of the force of tryhards everywhere. He stalks the web looking for retards to set straight. He can not be stopped by mere bans or thread locks for he shall rise anew.

Why does Reach suck so bad?

I have one today that I cannot seem to find. Next to the motion sensor in multiplayer, it tells you where you are in the map. I know I have had it on, because I remember it, but now I can't seem to get it again. I have tried forging on multiple maps and on multiple gametypes, but nothing. I also tried it in custom games. Maybe it is somewhere in the game settings, but I need some help. I was hoping to use it to find easter eggs dealing with it, such as the "Vaya con Dios!" on powerhouse after jumping off the cliff. Thanks.

That depends on what part you play. If you play Campaign, you could say it is too short, or not enough variety. If it is matchmaking, you could say it is too limited and not fun enough with all of the guys who camp and such. Whatever it is, you are seeing it your way. I myself think Bungie did an excellent job. I find easter eggs all over the place and I wish they were doing more. I guess you'll have to wait for halo 4 to be happy, but that is my opinion. These questions should be about gameplay, not your thoughts.

In the making of this game, Bungie had to create a 3D landscape that offered life-like images. This takes time, and to avoid too much lag, they simplified. Most of the levels are free roaming, meaning you can go places that are out of the normal goals. Detail had to be made for these places, unlike halo combat evolved, two, or three. Many of the smaller details that are out of the way had to be refined. If you look at some, you can tell it is multiple 2D pictures rather than 3D figures. Most of the graphic flaws are to conserve memory in order to not overload itself (lag). If it does lag, it is because of the extensive graphics, or in the case of Matchmaking, a bad connection to one of the players. I don't really pay much attention to TrueSkill, I don't see why it is needed, so I cannot help you there. Balance is a was to give the person the right amount of difficulty. There is no real way to ensure balance, as the game has a wide variety of strategies, and balancing correctly due to the person's actual skill is virtually impossible. Sorry if I couldn't help on these. I do understand your problems, but you can never make the perfect video game, they are all flawed. Leave the rest to the beta testers.

I somehow disabled it for multiplayer. I did it on single player and it worked. I still need to know how to turn it on on multiplayer, but it isn't as urgent. Never mind about the position indicator.
