Shutup and stream. :)
I wish the quarry was a little bigger. I could do something really cool, but there's no place with flat enough grass for it to work :/
Wish my map was easier to build. Spent most of today studying and developing Invasion theories.
There are 3 types of Invasion maps: Short-Form, Mid-Form, and Long-Form. Boneyard and Breakpoint are Mid-Form, whereas Spire is Long-Form.
These terms describe how much neutral/empty space there is between objectives. Mid-form maps have 2 neutral areas between the objectives. Breakpoint has the glacier and then the middle hill as its two neutral areas. Boneyard has two very large neutral areas. Spire has three, with the 3rd being the vertical distance between Phase 2 and Phase 3.
Learning which form your map is will help you to plan how you want players to move around your map.
I've been struggling on the blueprint for my map for so long because it needed neutral space in the beginning. Neutral space essentially means the area on your map that players move through. It can also be called "transit-space" because players travel through it to get to the objective. Again, Boneyard and Breakpoint have two of these, albeit the former's is much larger than the latter's.
There's more to it than that but I'll save that for another time.
