There is nothing wrong with it, it prevents spam and annoying, irrelevant discussion.
...How? If people want to spam or start up irrelevant discussion, they're going to regardless of whether or not you ask them not to. In fact, it even tips some users off to the fact that you don't want them to do something so they go ahead and do it anyways.
It's like walking into a shady part of the docks wearing a T-Shirt that says "Please don't rob me and the $1,000 I'm carrying in my Suitcase!" and expecting to make it to the other side unharmed.
That would be correct if the Flood was full of logical organisms.
They actually stay on topic most of the time, although they comment on the list size. What you're saying makes no sense and, quite simply, is not true.
People are going to say things if they want to say things. They don't ACTUALLY not say something (mainly a generic phrase or an expected response that the OP is anticipating) just because the OP says "inb4adapt" or "inb4religionisstupid". The fact that it doesn't happen is entirely coincidental.
The mere nature of inb4's doesn't at all grant any legitimacy to your claims. In fact, it directly disputes it. The OP is saying they're "in" before something happens. A phrase is said, an attack is made, what have you. People aren't going to go "Well, I was going to say that this is a wall of text, but the OP said 'inb4greatwallofchina'... Dammit, guess I can't now."
That's not how people, let alone Floodians (c wat i did thar?), act; nor is it the way that one would assume they would act when encountering a ridiculously useless line of text that is an "inb4".
