Subject: How will you remember Reach?

I will first remember Reach based on players that think they're full of themselves in a pointless game.

Simply because they think their rank means something. Little things such as "calling someone bad" or not sending a friend request because "their prestige" is too high. Players that just piss me off.

There is no skill in Reach. Look at the MLG pros. Even at that level of play, there is still some element to randomness - because of bloom. Matchmaking and evaluating "skill" shouldn't have any aspect of randomness. Bungie screwed this up, and now look at the Reach population.

Reach is dead. Reach is an INSULT to the Halo Franchise.

These players that are still playing think they're god, because they are searching with a full party of no lifers. Players just want to play this game to burn off time. It's sad when you have to think highly of yourself in a video, especially one that is failing.

CE Anniversary won't save Reach. it will be just like the Kinect and Wii, it's cool for about a week - then everyone will just go back to normal. There are so many other games out right now that kill Reach.

Battlefield 3
Modern Warfare 3
FIFA 12
Black Ops
Madden 12
Assassins Creed Revelations
Mass Effect 3 - Next Spring

Christmas time this year, Reach will officially be dead. The population is just sad when you compare it to other Halo games. Just watch and learn, you will see the true failure that Halo Reach is.

I will indeed remember Reach.

I'll also remember Reach for the community. Made of whiney 12 year olds that can't spend 3 minutes of their life to read a thought out thread. They would rather see arrogant insults made towards each other rather than a logical discussion.

I thought this was Rated M for Mature.

Ratings mean nothing any more.

Blame bad parenting.

Harass the harassers.

I will remember it as the last Halo game I played before Halo 4.

3 of those games haven't been released and yet you're making accusations about them.

OT: I will remember Reach as a great game with a bad community.

Going off-topic: BF3 is a horrible excuse for a game.

Did Optimatch get any lasting changes done to Reach?
It only made some of the Objective games better for 4v4 but they still payed more attention to Slayer.

My point exactly. 3 of those games aren't even out yet, and look at the current population. There will be a handful of players left. Some "swan song" from Bungie to Halo.

It only made some of the Objective games better for 4v4 but they still payed more attention to Slayer.

Optimatch was also responsible for changing Arena to a Win/Loss system, which is a good thing. If only they added incentive for all players to play the playlist it would have been perfect.

How can something in the future affect the population of a game that is out right now?

But they didn't get them to remove ratings so we could have Objectives and remove seasons.

I'll remember it as the game I was relatively good at without putting any effort into.

Clearly you don't understand basic marketing. Supply/Demand - the death of this game. Players will move to other games simply because "everyone else" is doing it. Reach doesn't have anything to offer.

Campaign? - old
Ranking system? - LOL
Incentive to keep playing? - You get nothing out of it
New games modes not seen of Halo 3/ODST? - Nope

Reach has nothing new and no incentive to keep playing. The trueskill system makes matching players unbearable and it's just flat out boring.

Really? Not even with thre release of Anniversary Edition, 7 new maps for Reach, and the update? You're totally right, there is nothing coming up.

And I don't think you understand, the concept you are talking about isn't supply and demand, it is the economic concept of expectations. People will buy a new game and thus leave the old one. But if that is your reason as to why Reach "sucks", then by the same logic, every Halo game ever sucked.

Reach has been out for a year. Look at the numbers. It's equal to the population of Halo 3 three years after it's release. That's just sad.

You can't. But what you CAN do is leave Reach and play the pre-cursor game to get pumped and up to date on that new one. Join new online communities and forums to get the latest intel.

Just like many people have already done. What are all the hardcore CoD players doing right now? Not playing Reach. They're watching live streams and interviews, constantly playing Black Ops right until the release of the new game. You can do the same thing with Mass Effect 2.
