I am Field Master Avu Med 'Telcam, Servant of the Abiding Truth, and I have many brothers.
A god who creates tools is still a god. It is not for us to impose qualifications upon the divine or presume to guess its intentions.

Actually most of the better players in MLG are pretty equal with their DMR, strafe ect. The main difference between most of the teams is how effectively they can work together.
As for the "prolonged struggles" they can be present in most playlists. For example on Zealot CTF you ideally want to control R3, top gold and you opponents landing to force them to spawn in their basement so you can easily capture their flag. As a result of this "prolonged struggles" can happen when trying to get these areas. But the difference is the constant push. In MLG there is only light strategy. You spawn, run to -insert callout here- for the objective, try to move it, die. Rinse & Repeat until capture. There is no time of holding back and waiting at the base until power weapon/vehicle spawns to help assist the push to make it effective. But as you said, each to his own I guess.
Its prety clear that you have very, very little experiance playing with MLG settings.
Oh well.Enough to understand how it works. Watching the 'MLG Pro' tournaments is enough for me. They just mumble a few callouts to eachother, while proceeding to hop around the map.
