I don't know about "rivals," but the world is Bungie's gimp.

This man, this man right here put it so eloquently that I actually cancelled my own 2000+ word long post.
/slow clap for respect

The person who said participating is important, not winning, obviously never won anything.

Bungie sees everyone else as an obstruction in their path to world domination.

When the time comes, Bungie will remove them like a bad stain.

They had a friendly beef with epic games at one point but agreed to call it off in the interests of peace.

Creates motivation I would suppose. A greater encouragement to be better.

I'll agree with that. They are all in the same business so I suppose they have similar things to talk about also.

Definitely. There's a wealth of great teams out there producing too many incredible gaming experiences to count. That's not to say we're not competitive, we are, but we're also gamers.

So then you understand how incredibly annoying it is to sit here waiting on word of a new game to come out, but hearing only perpetual silence.

I'm pretty sure he understands quite well.

Yes. You might imagine that the people working on the game are itching to talk about it, too.

"Critics who treat adult as a term of approval, instead of as a merely descriptive term, cannot be adult themselves. To be concerned about being grown up, to admire the grown up because it is grown up, to blush at the suspicion of being childish; these things are the marks of childhood and adolescence."
-C.S. Lewis

Last time I checked, Bungie gave "mad mad props to the Call of Duty team".

Anyone but Foman. He smells like cheese.

I think that Bungie is the ALL GLORY TO THE HYPNOTOAD!

A good example would be Halo and Call of Duty. Halo was selling really well, so Infinity Ward tried to sell a game to compete with Halo, so they created Call of Duty.

CoD was around first I believe. But I guess you mean they revamped the series with CoD4 onward to compete with Halo.

The original Call of Duty through CoD3 were completely different than what what CoD is now.

EDIT: I stand corrected. Halo was first. I feel like an idiot. Either way I feel like CoD didn't really start directly competing with Halo until CoD4.

I suggest you treat the outside of the Ivory Towers and inside with flea dust. Those itches are nasty. :)

Well, can you give us some insight on the devolpers view of the release and pre-release schedule?

Why do devolpers wait to announce the projects?

I understand up to a certain point, you don't want to hype up this big thing, then have it not work and fall apart before you can get it stable, but past that...

Anyways, I REALLY want to know about release dates: Is there a actual reason why some countries get it much latter than others? Translation can't take that long, and most games have multple languages from the get-go.

Like, for example, it takes like 3-6 months or pokemon games to get to the US from japan...

You guys are much better at it though.
