Every time I come on here I hear at least a hundred people complaining about how much armor lock sucks and how cheap it is. No, it doesn't suck, you do. So to help all of you whiners out there I have devised a little guide to help you not die. Now this may be hard to remember, since I know that playing Halo for so long has gauged you to use absolutely no skill in any given situation, but when you utilize these tips you'll have more fun, you won't waste your life away complaining on internet forums, and you'll spare people the ear rape of your incessant crying online.Oh noes, he went into Armor Lock right next to me! What do?!
Here is what you don't do; You don't stand there like a retard and watch the shiny blue light in your visor. I know how tantalizing it is, and I know how few of you have ever heard the word tantalizing before, but you don't stand there and wait for them to pop out, EMP you, and smack your ass straight to the god damn moon. What you should do is step back about five feet and wait for them to pop out of Armor Lock. This way they can't EMP you and you'll be able to shoot them with their low shields or health. Bonus points if you toss a grenade at their feet right before they come out of it. "But Scoopicus, what if they cornered me and I can't go anywhere?" Simple, don't get cornered. If you thought that running into a corner was a good way to escape harm, then I want you to go pick up a history book and find out why that doesn't work. And yes, books still exist. They're like the instruction manuals in games and the 50 game magazines you're subscribed to but they have actual value.Hey, there's a guy standing out in the open! I'm gonna run him-OH GOD ARMOR LOCK!
HIT. THE. BRAKES. Seriously, it's not that hard. All you have to do is slow down a little. If you aren't going at full speed when you hit them, it won't kill you. Then either pop out of the car and back up, or just back the vehicle up. It may be hard to get used to the fact that vehicles move at speeds that are slower than full speed and that you don't have be boosting in a Ghost, but they will come in handy when this happens. If they activated it at a time where you can't alter your course then tough. They timed it well and there's nothing you can do about it.I just grenade spammed all over this guy and he armor locked through them! HAX!
This can be used to your advantage. You see, someone can only enter Armor Lock a maximum of two times before having to recharge, which means they can only deflect those two grenades, allowing you to kill them with the guns that the game has given you. Yeah, those things, in your hands, they shoot. It's been a while since you used them for anything other then beating in the skull of anyone who's holding a dick. Anyway, wait for them to use up their armor lock on your hand-bombs and then shoot them, or go for the ever-successful method of ramming your gun up their ass and through their mouth. "But Scoopicus, they have a power weapon!" In that case you wouldn't have won in a head on confrontation anyway. Run and hide so they don't smoke your ass and go find a shotgun or something. Now I hope I've helped all of you suck just a little less. Now if you excuse me I have to sit back and watch the lulz this generates.
