Subject: Fate of the Engineers?

Glory and fame, blood is our name!
Souls full of thunder, hearts of steel!
Killers of men, a warrior's friend!
Sworn to avenge our fallen brothers!
Sons of the gods, today we shall die.
Open Valhalla's door!
Let the battle begin, with swords in the wind! Hail Gods of War!

Haven't read Glasslands, but I was wondering if the Engineers managed to find something "to do" after the disbanding of the Covenant. Wouldn't they seek out Humanity since they were Foreruner creations? From what I remember, they were pretty much neutral, and would help humans and Covenant alike. So are they helping the Humans rebuild, or did they just kinda wonder off?

United Armed Forces

I appreciate being ignored.

(No sarcasm; thank you very much)

We are all going to get banned aren't we?

I find it Extremely interesting that they got up and left.

From the start we were told that they don't give a damn long as they have something to fix/build, but i feel like using them as bombs was too much even for them. I Think that they might actually be evolving seeing how Lighter than some actually went out of his way to befriending yayap.

I think this could be an interesting story element that i do not want Karen exploring.

They never had any kind of Hierarchy did they? No real social structure?

Can you tell me what got up and left means? I didn't quite catch that while reading it. Also I'm gonna have to agree with you on the Karen part.

I enjoyed Karen's so I don't mind. I am in comprehention and trust.

It means, they disapeared, they went away.

Well I know they disappeared I just don't know in what way. Did they just float away or do they have a destination in mind or is it unexplained so far?

It's also possible that the re-activation of the Arrays and the Ark have something to do with their migration. It's probably a safe bet that this is the most active Forerunner technology / installations have been since the founding of the Covenant.

Oh don't you worry. Based on the events of Glasslands, the Engineers are gonna be busier than ever.

No... It seems that you haven't heard of Halo Cryptum, at least that you don't know what it's about.
Huragoks are Builder tools. They were on mantenance instalation[s] near Janjur Quom.

Maybe they were escaping on ships like the Serene Certainty.

Durances and such. Even the War-sphinxes weren't durances and yet.
I don't know if it really has a link but hey, Durances, Durer in french means to last. Durer and Durances. sounds related.
Maybe they built their own ships too.

How about you finish the damn book before trying to talk about anything in it. And why does "disappeared" make you think of something huge as them leaving the galaxy?seriously..

Because the galaxy is populated heavly by ex-covenant species and humans and that is not only orion arm...also i barely have time to read it now and is it hard for you to answer a normal question ?

Every species in halo lives within the orion arm, all the current species have never left the orion arm in this time.

The only things not in the orion arm are forerunner related, and they too do not live in the orion arm anymore.

Even if you are 14, you are really something else..

I'd say that they will ally up with humans.

I'm gonna throw this out there: The Prophets are gone too. There is still a group of Prophets out there alive. This is mentioned in Glasslands. They were also the ones who brought in the Engineers in the first place.

What if their disappearances are connected?

Food for thought :)

The only prophets that are alive are the ones that weren't on High Charity and that number is what lower than 1,000?

That is what was referenced in the novel though we think they might have been lying about the destruction of their homeworld, or another group relocated long ago.
