If I did think as much I'd be a Jessy wearing pink pajamas...

It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who has given us the freedom to demonstrate. It is the soldier, not the lawyer, who has given us the right to a fair trial. And it is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves the flag, whose coffin is draped in the flag that allows the protester to burn the flag.Father Dennis Edward O'Brien, USMC

Harsh? NO. Biased? Yes. Its always been this way and its a joke amongst the older members.

There's a word for what I am, but I can't pronounce it.

BFA, CCS - olde and bony & one minute musings.

We have no rights? Bunch of softies.

These topics are usually created from a skewed perspective. Needless to say, my idea of innocent fun is probably very different than yours if you've ever been removed from this website as a result.

Might want to take a quick detour to a few no-nonsense boards (businesses, too) and check to see how many don't toss out permanent bans for offenses viewed as minor over here. We'll compare notes.

No. Things used to be a lot stricter here. Then again, after one is here for a while, the rules get easier to follow because you get used to them.

They try not to ban too much.

I'm pretty sure every time they ban somebody, they have to cut a mark into their skin somewhere on their body.

It could definitely be a lot harsher, let's hope it does.

Honestly, I hate to use his term, but so many people are so irreversibly butthurt about bans they've received where they don't know why they were banned that they seem to view every slightly questionable moderation action as an injustice to the community at large.

At the risk if being called a kiss ass (for what will seem to be the 50th time this week), people are way too hard on the group of [b]Fourty-Two[/b froum ninjas (only about 10 of which are active on a consitantly regular basis) that we have. Nobody sitting here complaining would be any better a mod than the ones we have are. It's easy to criticize from the outside looking in.

I've never been warned or banned before.

Perhaps the warnings could be more personal and friendly; but so could the inmates...

Nope, the rules and moderation here are pretty straight forward in my opinion.

Also, pretty much this. I've been perma-banned at another video game developer's site for reporting a bug in the game's technical issues forum... -_-

We have it pretty easy here.

OP - You're a dumbass with the reading comprehension skills of a second grader.

Can someone tell me what's wrong with these two, this made me LOL hard.

OP, there's a difference between the John Cenas and trolls and harmless fun.

If I am not posting, then I am reading what you might have posted.

The moderation is not bad at all.

Feel free to send me messages, please be willing to wait 6-8 years for a reply.

1-7 hours if you at least tried to make it readable.

Immediately if you are Yax, Telec, or legendary.

Never if you are mythic, you guys smell funny.

I personally do not think its harsh enough.

There are many powers in the world, for good or for evil. Some are greater than I am. Against some I have not yet been measured. But my time is coming.

I think we've even cut back on how harsh we are here. The rules were greatly reduced in January of this year, allowing us to not have to look for as many things, while at the same time giving more leeway to members.

Plus, we're not issuing 14-day bans in the Flood like we did for a couple months back in 2009 (or was it 2008?).

Harsh? I don't think it's harsh enough!

That's like when people say you should never complain because people are starving in Africa.

Some moderators will ban/warn people for things other moderators will not.

It frustrates me sometimes.

Other than that, no real complaints from me.

And the Shadow fell upon the Land, and the World was riven stone from stone. The oceans fled, and the mountains were swallowed up, and the nations were scattered to the eight corners of the World. All was shattered, and all but memory lost, and one memory above all others, of him who brought the Shadow and the Breaking of the World. And him they named Dragon.
