Subject: MW3 vs. Reach

MW3 is fun. i dont care how you wanna look at it, its a good game so far.

for starters, i just wanna say the only COD i liked was COD 4. i thought each game that followed that in the COD series sucked. but with the release of MW3, i see myself playing this game a whole lot

Im not a fan boy of any kind, i simply play games that are fun. with that said, i would choose halo CE, 2, or 3 over just about any game because i felt as though those games had it all. Reach however, felt different. don't even get me started on its problems...

i guess the point im trying to make is that 343 better step their shi t up if they want to make halo a dominate series again. from a gamer's perspective, i would like to see that because it puts more fun games on the market.

discuss, rant, flame, i dont mind, ill probably be playing MW3 in a few moments

Your presence here is quite unneeded. Begone you!!!

Era where sci-fi games dominate are pretty much gone. Don't expect Halo to dominate. Vigilant maybe....but not dominant

I don't think Halo will ever dominate the market, as long as shooter in the modern era are out people hate Halo and such to stay with the crowd.

This, plus there is no skill gap in Call of Duty, so all the random people who buy it are usually decent, therefore they like it.

MW3 > Reach.

Done Deal.

I like to play Reach for fun. I hate MLG, campers, armor lock, and team killers because they ruin that fun. Deal with it.

I like Reach more than MW3.

Harass the harassers.

If the halo franchise released new games as often as some of its competiters I beleive it would have an equal amount of population. Now I understand the concept of quality over quantity but If the competition is gonna have that many titles on the market, either you make a game that appeals to everyone(impossible)or you have several titles out.Even with Halos current availible lot,I think the Halo brand is missing one more availible xbox live game.

The Halo series was my first and favorite FPS series.
I enjoy most games throughout all systems despite what some people say.

Oh, and on the forums, I tell it like it is, like it or not.

MW3 is terrible. It's essential a $60 map pack for MW2. People are so obsessed with it and it's way to overrated.

I have had many friends who have seen the light as I led them away from the garbage that is COD. And they actually hate COD almost as much as I do.

This. I actually read (somewhere) that Infinity Ward lost a lot of sales so far with MW3 because people are realizing it's essentially the same thing every year with not enough of a change to need to buy a new one each YEAR. Halo has enough changes to contemplate spending $60 for each one, but each game lasts at least 2-3 years.

But you do get an entire new campaign with the new game too, and another thing that lost some sales was the required subscription for DLC imo.

~Only reply to posts with a question being asked, thats the only way I won't get banned~

I never like spray and pray FPSs. I like games that have somewhat of a skill gap. The only time I like games with leveling is if it's an RPG or something.

Still can't argue the +9 Million copies already sold.

I don't see CEA selling more than maybe 1-2 Million in total, when the norm for a Halo game is 10+ million.

Maybe because CEA isn't supposed to compete with these "bigger" games?

MW3- Feels and looks almost EXACTLY like MW2. Campaign is lame, of course. Multiplayer is also lame, and the guns look 'off' for some reason, and the sprint animation bugs the hell out of me. The only fun gamemode is survival, and that gets old fast and isn't worth 60$

My opinion.

"I like knowing the space between my ears is immeasurable."

A lot of people seemed to be very picky about halo games, even the one's who go out of their way to post in a Reach forum.

So I'm guessing it doesn't matter.

As long as halo 4 comes out and I get to see what happened after three I'll be okay.

I hate things that get cancelled. Aka firefly :c
Aka Angel :c
aka some such

Modern Warfare 3?

All I see is Modern Warfare 2 with a paint job. Which is what all CoD games are these days.

i'll go ahead and be the devil's advocate here, but arguably, reach was the first major change up in the halo series that moved away from the core mechanics. a good amount of the halo population say that reach doesn't "feel" like the previous halo's that everyone loved... do you think you'd be happy if they just revamped halo CE, 2, or 3 with brand new maps and a brand new campaign with a couple of new features like firefight? i know i would

essentially, the makers of COD know what makes the majority of the population happy. this reason alone is most likely the reason as to why COD feels the same through and through

if it were up to me, i personally think reach would have been more successful if it was a mere "paint job" of halo 2 or halo 3

but then again, this is just my opinion, im surprised as it is that this topic lasted. probably due to the fact that hardly anyone comes on here anymore = /

"I like knowing the space between my ears is immeasurable."

I played a little of halo and halo 2 and I liked them.
never online but I played em at a friends house, that was fun.
3 was fun too, for a while.

I really like the direction they took with Reach... Idk I'm a minority I guess but I like the AA's. I just think they should have put more thought into how they were used.

Like spawning, if you choose a certain ability you should spawn a certain place. a certain random place of course not just right in the same spot.
