This. There really is no reason for anyone, who already has CE, to get CEA. If I was going to get it, it would be almost solely for the maps.

I have no motivation to play a campaign for a game I already have.

I think I'm just going to shell out MSP.

yeah, updated graphics + terminals + co-op is not a reason.

What is up with the ignorance on these forums lately...oh wait.

Who is starting to miss the days that map packs were free and part of an "update?"

Ah, the good ol' days.

How far back are you going, I never remember map packs being free.

The ones for halo 2 sure as hell weren't.

What is with us? Not buying a rehashed version of the same game? Damn us.

I don't buy every Call of Duty game. I don't buy every Madden that comes out. I don't buy every NCAA sport game that comes out.

Why? Because they're typically the same game with slightly updated graphics, and maybe 1 or 2 'new features'.

Only regret is I didn't play more of it.

If you haven't noticed by now, I'm sort of a jerk.

Here, hold my wallet and let me shell out $40 for a game I already own, with only a couple changes to it. Oh wait.

then obviously the reasons most people are getting it don't appeal to you. Doesn't mean there is "no" reason to get it. Your opinion=/=absolute

Bookshelf, the only reason you're trying to troll about CEA is the fact you cant play Reach for more than 2 minutes without screaming at your tv, but for some reason you can play a much more broken game and have fun.

Very likely not buying CEA either, and just wait for the maps on the marketplace. I've played CE's campaign time and time again over both PC and 360, redoing it in HD really isn't enough of a reason alone for me to buy it. My little brother will probably get it, and I might just play using that every now and then when he's playing MW3.

I would only get it if I never played Halo CE before. Fortunately, I have, so I don't need to waste $40 on a game I already have. The better graphics and terminals don't change a single thing.

Why is hypocrite spelled with an E at the end?
The I in crite is not pronounce as eye.

So, on the one hand I spell it out exactly as it should be.
You follow the standard set before you by fools who can't even get a handle on the rules of their own language.

Pay $40 for CE + -blam!- Reach versions of classic Halo maps OR pay $10 for CE and get the -blam!- reach maps for $15.

I never finished it. I got to the first part of the campaign you get a warthog and just quit. I cant sit there and play games alone without at least talking to someone. Im not someone who likes alone time.

Don't like how they're releasing the maps as DLC the same day as release. Was suppose to be "eventually" after the release.

Oh well, seems like a fair price for the amount of maps and how they're classics and maps people actually like.

It's like what happened with Halo Wars LE.

And I agree that the price is pretty fair. 7 maps for $15 is a good deal.

Fine for you, I have no problem playing a good singleplayer on my own for a few hours, but I have to be talking to someone for MP. I almost always have a 3rd party chat device open when I play most offline campaigns. Other times, I prefer not talking to enjoy the story more.

Why buy a campaign I already have?
I have played through the first campaign countless times. It is my favorite FPS campaign by far, the other Halo games don't come close. I am eager to see this classic with modern graphics and updated sound.

  • 11.10.2011 8:34 AM PDT

I'm not really a campaign person although playing it with newer graphics would be interesting. I'll probably just end up downloading the new maps in the end though.

  • 11.10.2011 8:42 AM PDT

Join Halo Haven for all things related to Halo 4

Tell her that If you jingle my bells, Ill promise you a white Christmas - Call Me Venom
The world can't end next month. My yogurt expires in 2013 - Princess Cadence
If Apple invented a car, would it have windows? - Xxembers

I'm getting CEA mainly for the online co-op aspect of it. I also want to have a hard copy of CE because mine is on the HDD from the marketplace. The updated graphics is a plus for me too, and I can't wait to run through Campaign with my buddies.

  • 11.10.2011 10:20 AM PDT

"Were it so easy..."

I don't get what it is people don't dig about the plot of the game. I find Halo's plot to be far more interesting than the multiplayer will ever be. And the Terminals will give some insight into Halo 4, so I'm definitely getting Anniversary.

That and the missions in CE were just so awesome, by far the most fun Campaign to play in the series.

Another point I'd like to make the "Stealthsniper"
Did you buy MW3? Because if you did you "Shelled out" 60$ for a game you already own that DIDNT come out 10 years ago and WASNT fully remastered.

MW3 is little more than a 15-20$ DLC expansion pack for MW2 in the form of a disc.

Wrong.

I was previously mislead and thought there was an installation option for the maps, similar to a Game of the Year Edition Install Disc (ex. Borderlands, Fallout 3, Oblivion). This is not the case.

Yesterday's Halo Bulletin told us that this is the setup:

- One Disc
- Remastered Campaign
- 7 Multiplayer maps in Reach Engine
- Extras
- A download voucher for the Anniversary Map Pack DLC from Marketplace. This works the same way as the Gears of War 2 Game of the Year Edition.

The maps are on the disc. There is also a download voucher. End of story.
