In memory of those fallen in the defense of Earth and her colonies.

March 3, 2553

If I was sniping (Quickscoping) it actually makes my reflexes slighly better.... but no.

No it makes me play better in all honesty. Reason being gaming carries over for the most part. COD makes me a more defensive player in Reach only because if you come out to far you're dead basically.

There's always that grace period where you need get adjusted to whichever game's mechanics again...but as others have said...FPS skills are easily transfered.

Switching between Black Ops and Reach (when they first came out) I had no problem in either game. Same with Battlefield 3 and Reach. With this new cluster-blam!- that is MW3 I feel it will actually help to improve my Halo ability simply because it'll feel like I'm playing the game in slow motion with nobody randomly spawning directly behind me every 10 seconds.

I make a living of selling my body, and I don't mean sex.

To me it matters more if I don't play the game rather than if I'm playing another game. Meaning like if I don't play the game for a good amount of time I'll get worse. Switching between them is easy enough.

Country: United States.
State: Pennsylvania.
County: Warren.
I graduated from high school on June-11-2011. I'm 19 right now. I'm turning 20 in December. I like playing video games, and board games. I like reading Sci-Fi, and World War II novels, and what not.

"There is nothing better in the world than being better at a video game than someone else....oh wait"

When I go back to Halo. I keep forgetting you can't aim down the sights. And I also try to sprint with the left analog stick.

halo skills

I'm glad you recognize that "Halo skill," does not mean "Skill."

And yes, when I come back to Halo it takes a few games to be completely adapted to the gameplay and pacing again.

Makes me play better. Halo has a slower pace. So boucing back from a 10sens COD session to a 4 sens Halo session.

My aim is dead on lol

Name's John. I'm a 21-year-old firefighter/EMT from lolhio who doubles as a die-hard Halo fan. I've been enjoying the franchise since 2001. My favorite iteration of Halo would have to be Halo 2 simply because I never got to experience the joy of a full-on Halo: CE LAN.

If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

Oh yeah, and boot Zome.

I think I actually have to have skills before they can be ruined. I do feel like I get even worse after a prolonged break from lolreach, though.

Life is a journey, if you spend all of it with your nose in your map, you may miss some of the best parts.

Yes. If you play it long enough, anyways. If you switch between the two, you might get better at one or both. Or worse at one or both.

Call me Stu

Portal does.

Usually it only happens if I play pc games for awhile. Using thumbsticks again takes some getting used to.

  • 11.10.2011 8:47 AM PDT

Lol

I noticed other games like GH, or Starcraft will actually improve your halo skills. Both of those games require more flexible hand-eye coordination and adapts your hand to stress.

  • 11.10.2011 8:50 AM PDT

did you say halo and skill in the same sentence?
buddy this is reach.

I went off of Reach for Blops for about a month and a half... I honestly haven't noticed anything different. I adjust pretty well to both game styles pretty fast.

R.I.P. Halo 2 <33333333
Do not play halo much anymore. Barely ever come on here.

yes cause they all take absolutely no skill.
This. Call of Duty takes relatively no skill and is easy for everyone.

The 343 forums suck. They're full of retarded kids and mods who got butthurt in the B.net forums for being told that they're bad.

That's what you get for playing CoD.
