I play Halo 2 on Live, and i have hear recently that Halo CE can be played through the XBX tunneling service.

Before i set it up i need to know if XBC will disable the Live network.

I'll only be using it for Halo CE.

If it screws with Xbox Live, or has a chance to screw with it, i wont bother trying.

Also, i would like to know if it's worth it.

Is it possible to get smooth connections, and solid hit detection like split screen of LAN?

No, XBC and XBLive work fine with each other. The XBox thinks that XBC is a LAN.

And the faster your connection is, the better XBC works. I hardly ever get lag on XBC anymore. I would suggest making sure your router set the XBox as a DMZ, or "All Ports Open" type of setting, that way it doesn't get any firewall hiccups. I haven't heard of anyone hacking an XBox through XBC yet.

Appreciate that, i'll see what type of performance i can get, because i played Halo CE online for the PC, and vary rarely could i get stable performance, but, that really had to do with the horrible job gearbox did on the port.

I had a smoking fast rig and got horrible performance on and offline.

Its like holding onto an electric fence, and complaining that it hurts, yet you still do it. See the stupidity now?

It shouldn't hurt your Live settings, but if you're not careful, it can fry the foshizzle out of your computer's network settings.

100 ping is dreadful for Halo 1, try to get something 50 ms or below, unless you like challenges.
