Subject: what GPU will someone need to get Halo to look like this?

You misunderstood genius. I am a 25 still because I have not played ranked games since becoming a 25. I was guessing at where I would be had I continued, due to the level of others that I have played and beaten lately (unranked). After a match and before(360) you see other players' level, and this is what I was basing it on. Frankly, I don't care what level I am, since it really does not correctly label an individual's skill.

Holy crap, that is so beautiful. I'm shedding tears of joy.

Probably dual GeForce 7900 cards, or dual Radeon X1900 cards. But dang, just look at that picture. Talk about eye candy.

All I can say is... can a wimpy Xbox do that!?

WOAH. Now I have even more of a reason to fix my desktop. That makes my laptop look like a pile of crap.

I think my laptop's INTEGRATED chipset can do that, actually (Mobility ATI Radeon Xpress 200). Too bad my processor/RAM won't support it, though.

I believe those graphics are avalible on a mid-range card nowadays. Halo is considered pretty old.

Get a 5900 or better and you can play like that all the time. I have an x800xl and play like that.

Tell us, Enlightened One. What is it like to have a slice of heaven like yours?

Man, just imagine what it would look like on a GeForce 7900 then, or a Radeon X1900.

Heres some shots that i took with my x800xl. 1280x1024 and settings maxed. enjoy

And no, you dont need 7900GTX's in SLI, or x1900XT's in crossfire to get a good picture. A 6600GT can easily pull of 1280x1024. My card (x800XL) does easily and I get about 70-80fps.

Still it's not the same as the "aamzing" screenshot. Check out the specular on the dropship and the Assualt Rifle. It has this amazing 'sheen' to it. Plus the colour's amazingly rich and vibrant. Mine isn't that bad, but as of late, I've been playon at 800x600 for that speed boost needed for mutiplayer (can't let that lag get a hold of me ;)) Yes, my internet most of the time is good, but if I turen up my graphic settings too high then I begin to get problems. However, If I really wanted to, I could play 1024x768 all the time, I'll try and get a screenshot up sometime later this week.

well unless someone can host my images at 1280x1024 then you really cant see the true beauty of it.

That screenie was taken from the Xbox version as a promo for the original version! My you guys get racked up so easily. Actually, it could also be from a Mac, but I doubt it. Take a look at the Health Bars, don't see squares, you see rounded squares. XBOX or MAC. Xbox more likely because MAC sucks lol.
