Seriously. It is more important for me to see who is shooting at me instead of who-killed-who or what kind of a spree someone earned.

I have an 48" HDTV which is great for single or two player split screen. Split screen with 3 or 4 people makes it very difficult to see distant enemies.

This seems to be a repeated request but I never see a reason why Bungie will not apply a patch to grant us this option. Please make on screen text optional.

Wrong forum, you need to go to the 343 waypoint forum, that is if you can get it to work.

Your presence here is quite unneeded. Begone you!!!

no, no one does.

But I agree, onscreen text is freaking lame.
Always has been, always will be.
Especially when people have names that are to long.
It pops right up in the middle of my crosshairs and when I'm in a dmr battle with someone not scoping in or getting shot, it freaking blocks my view. Same with no scopes, it blocks my view. it's bad enough the darn gun takes up half of the screen.

I think playing on blind should be an option in multiplayer too, cause I would... seriously >.> it's not much different anyway.

Please...stop getting butthurt when I noscope you from the passenger seat of the vehicle I'm riding in :D

I actually suggested the option of having Blind in multiplayer, with the exception of it still showing what weapon you have out...Basically a No-HUD mode.

on screen text is pretty important...if you play a competitive playlist like mlg or team jetpack.

no it isn't.
In MLG on screen text doesn't tell you jack, the person communicating does.

it doesn't tell you this guy has rockets, this guy is weak, this guy is going top gold.

Doesn't tell you crap, just blocks your screen and it's freakin lame.

how often do you go into MLG only to get a team without mics?

if you get killed by a dude with rockets the on screen text can tell you when he died if no one on your team is talking.

its important and its not that big of a deal.

then stop going in with randoms.
especially in mlg.
i run into teams pretty much every time I go there.

The screen just tells you who died, only if it's a medal does it really give you any insight as to why. And doesn't really show you anything but an X where your guy died, that doesn't even mean the enemy is close to him.

onscreen text is a fail.
a big freaking fail and it's annoying I think.
I hate it, hate it hate it.

I like the text. It doesnt bother me one bit.

  • 11.12.2011 3:32 PM PDT

I barely notice it. You must be hyper-observant or easily distracted.
