All that is needed for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.

So I installed the Halo 2 PC disk, and now I have the icon on my desktop. I double click the icon, but nothing comes up. Does anyone know how to fix this problem? I'm playing on windows 7.

What GPU do you have? Integrated? If so that's probably your problem.

That, or he's using a GT540m which means the game will never work as well. I'm fairly certain in this case it's a GPU problem and the OP does not have the right GPU.

I don't have integrated. I can't find the GPU on my list of specs, but I made sure I didn't get integrated when I bought my laptop.

On the desktop, right click and see if it has nvidia control panel. If yes, click on it. Then go to help and system info, it will tell you what it is there. Unfortunately I don't know how to do that for the ATI version but I'm sure someone here will help. As i said, I'm almost certain you have a G540M gpu, which will not run Halo 2 at all.
