Subject: The Forerunners - On the Ark?

The Ark was outside of the Halo's radius of destruction since it is outside the galaxy right? Then wouldn't there have been surviving Forerunner there after the Rings fired? Would they have just left to other galaxies from there or could a few have stayed but we didn't encounter them during the Halo 3 story?

Your one stop shop for all of 343's fabulous errors and ridiculous notions in the Halo lore.

No to them being around during Halo 3. but it would make sense for them to fire the rings there then leave.

Was the Ark ever compromised to the flood?

They made it to the Ark's control room and I think High Charity landed somewhere on the Ark, then whatever was left of the Flood infiltrated Installation 04 II.

I think he meant before the battle of installation 00.

If I'm not mistaking hundreds of life vvorkers vvere vvorking on that installation (the ark).

"I may not be perfect, but always been true."

There were probably a small number of them in Installation 00 before it was fired and when it was fired, they left it and the galaxy to repopulate... That's how I imagine the situation would turn out.

The person who said participating is important, not winning, obviously never won anything.

He's talking before the events of Halo 3.

That I can remember, no, it was never compromised. Mostly due to the fact that it was high secret and well outside the galaxy.

We are determined that before the sun sets on this terrible struggle our flag will be recognized throughout the world as a symbol of freedom on the one hand and of overwhelming force on the other.

I'd have to say they fired the Array from their then got out of dodge with what was left of their fleet and explored extra-galactic locations.

If I had to guess, I'd say they're living on a far off planet now, out of our terms. They've probably reconstructed a smaller interstellar empire.

Actually, when I think about it, it's be very cool for someone to capitalize on what happened to the remaining Forerunner.

Agreed with this all.
