Subject: Where was the Halo array fired?

I've heard some say it was at the Ark but others say Installation 04.

@accordingto343

Your one stop shop for all of 343's fabulous errors and ridiculous notions in the Halo lore.

The Ark fires them all, so I think it makes sense that they fired it from there.

Ah, thank you. That's what I thought, but then someone said it was 04.

I am...whimsical today.

343GS seems to make reference to being questioned before the original firing of the Array, which could be why people think it was fired from Installation 04.
It's possible, however, that this questioning took place at another place, or perhaps on Installation 04, but at a time before the Array was fired.

From what I remember of the terminal messages, they seem to suggest that it was the Ark that was the final turning point in the battle against the Flood, so it would make sense for the Array to have been fired there.

The Didact fired them from the Ark. In the terminals it's stated that MB was heading towards the Ark to stop him.
