Subject: A Stupid Question about CEA - But I Still Want and Answer!

Pioneer and Enthusiast for Halo 3.

This is a stupid question. I've tried to google it, and random stuff pops up.

I hear you can get all the CEA maps for 1200. It allows you to experience the multiplayer as if you had the actual CEA Disc right? This includes all of the playlists, just not the revamped campaign? Or do you just get the maps and a specific playlist? I'd like to experience the multiplayer updates without having to buy the disc. 1200 is a much better deal, since I've played the original CE campaign millions of times. No need for extras.

Thank you in advance.

Winner of the 2012 Lurker of the Year award.

I'm watching you.

Yes, you can get the anniversary dlc by itself, but I'm not sure what the price will be.

If you own the Anniversary maps, through dlc or Halo: CEA you will be able to participate in the Anniversary matchmaking playlists.

I <3 Halo:Reach - amazingly fun and best campaign + amazing Soundtrack
I <3 Halo 3:ODST - best soundtrack + Firefight + Coastal Highway and Mombassa Streets, amazingly unique campaign.
I <3 Halo 3 - best multiplayer levels + Forge + best Custom Games + soundtrack
I <3 Halo 2 - amazing huge fun campaign + soundtrack + Fun multiplayer
I <3 Halo: CE - started it all

I'll try to give you the best answer.

If you buy Halo: Anniversary, the disc will come with the 7 Multiplayer maps for Halo:Reach. The game will also come with a 2 day xbox live code, AND a download for the Anniversary map pack. You can use either.

AND on November 15th, the Anniversary map pack will be out, and you can buy it for 1200 points on Xbox LIVE. It comes with the 7 multiplayer maps and nothing else.

Why don't you go to 343's site to find out? It's not like they answered this or different "scenarios" you'll be in...oh wait

"Now that the relevant playlists have been covered, we should probably touch on the multiplayer maps as well. The Anniversary Map Pack, which includes six multiplayer maps along with one Firefight map, will be available on November 15th for 1200 Microsoft Points. This means even Halo: Reach fans can take part in Anniversary!

Before we dip into each of the maps, I thought I would walk you through some of the different scenarios you may find yourself in on November 15th. Halo: Anniversary and the Anniversary Map Pack are two different pieces of content, so here are the various ways to access the maps.

- If you own Halo: Anniversary but not Halo: Reach, you will launch the Anniversary maps from the disc menu.

- If you own Halo: Anniversary and Halo: Reach, we recommend installing the maps using the Anniversary Map Pack code that comes with Anniversary. You will then be able to launch the Anniversary maps from both the Anniversary and Reach menus.

- If you purchase the Anniversary Map Pack, you will install the maps like any other piece of DLC. You will then be able to launch the Anniversary maps from the Reach menu".
