Title for reference.

Indeed to me, it feels as if the Top Forum Topics are almost scred and are rarely posted in, (excluding the Tiltes FAQ thread).

Many of the top threads that are on the bottom are very rarely posted in. When they were first created, they were of course posted in them every other mintue, (Members List thread for example).

I don't quite understand what I'm supposed to discuss here, but I think the top forum topics are decided by how many users save the thread, not how often people post.

Wrong. From what I understand, they are decided my the most posts, and they are sorted by the most recent one to be posted in.

Why are you reading my signature? Who actually opens these things and reads them!

And as always, SEND ME A PM. Please. Or really bad things will happen to you.

I'm pretty sure it's based off of how many people saved them.

They are sorted by the most recent post, just like the actual list in the forums, however I'm pretty certain that it is down to how many people save the thread to actually get onto the list.

So.. sacred = people don't post in them?

Absolutely nothing in your OP makes sense. Also, most people who frequent this forum have already posted in the Members List thread. Nothing is going on with Webcam. People aren't always coming out with new scripts. The archive of hilarity OP is gone (it appears) and so recommending new additions would be pointless. The avatar thread is never looked at (or so it appears) by Stosh. Most people have posted in the World Domination thread. What the hell are you supposed to even post in the uStalk thread? And the Themes thread is the same as the Avatar one.

Of course. The Title FAQ thread is the only one that is still regularly posted in.

Plus, I know that the wording is a little bad, I tried to think of a better word, but I could not think. (A little tired, just woke up. ;p)

I just explained why the other ones weren't posted in, thus refuting your theory in the OP...

Why can't we delete our threads?

Mourne not your comrades who must dwell / too strong to strive -
Within each steel-bound coffin of a cell, / Buried alive;
But rather mourne the apathetic throng / The cowed, and the meek -
Who see the world’s great anguish and its wrong / And dare not speak.

Yup. Which explains why we get those kinds of threads over there. People in this forum are more likely to save threads they want to refer to later, I think, than threads they want to have conversations in. This forum moves slow enough that you don't need to keep track of the threads you've browsing.

CS55 nailed it though. There's little need for new posts in most of those threads, they serve their purpose just by being available; the rest have simply ran their course.

Edit: Not to let a rhetorical question (I think) go unanswered...

He was right. the top forum topics are based on how many people save the thread.

Usually the Top Forum Topics include some sort of list that people want to refer to later, so they save them. When enough people save it, it becomes a Top Forum Topic. This is why threads like a Flood Bar don't make it to the sidebar, because the discussion will run it's course and people will forget about it.

OP was talking about how they're sorted once they make it into the TFTs, which was also correct.
