Subject: How would you feel about starting Bungie.Net from the beginning?

The only reason I'd be okay with it is because I would get an account on the date the website was created/open to the public :D

EDIT: I don't know why you guys would change your names. No one you met here would know who you are.

I've grown quite attached to mine, and it has no semblance of anything.

Yeah, i've grown quite attached to yours as well. Heck, i'd probably make my new name snipe champppppp.

I've always liked the ring of THORSGOD... better not miss the few seconds after opening to claim your name back

I think i'd be taking the name of Achronos. I'm not sure if anyone has ever used that one but it sounds pretty cool.

Probably just some kid who doesn't even go on the site.

Today while I was making bread, I began to think about Bungie.Net and its potential future.

Why? Why didn't you just buy some?

You could just buy a painting, but if you have a brush and some paints then why skip out the fun?

Seems legit.

I would truly be mad and probably would not come back. I am a middle classed member and I have put a lot of time into this website, for it all to be gone would make me pretty upset.

I probably wouldn't get my username again. You never know though, it did go unused for about 8 years.

Pretty sure it got used and then the account was deleted for inactivity.

Some of my alts are evidence of that.

Anyway, I would probably come back, but as someone gave the analogy of when you make a long thread and Bungie.net messes up, you don't try as hard the second time...

I would stay to give it a shot. But I would also be a bit disappointed.

Loose talk is noose talk.

I wouldn't care, personally. It's an internet forum. If it dies, few tears will be shed at its passing and rebirth. We'll all be a bit shocked at first, but after some time has passed, business will resume as usual, as if nothing happened. A blip in the larger scheme of things.

@Geegs30

That would be quite a radical move. And probably not a good one on Bungie's part. I can see people stealing the usernames SonicJohn, Rokit, etc. first.

RIP Halo 2

I'd probably create a new account, but I doubt I would come here and be a part of the community any more. I'd just check for updates on bungie's new game and then leave. I'd be done with the forums and groups and anything like that, though.

It's not that I'm crazy... It's just that, you're not as far out there as I am.

The user name has grown on me, from being a mistake of microsoft's to being my b.net user name...

OT: I'd give it a shot.

If you don't know who I am, the feeling is mutual.

As long as I manage to get a new name, I'd be cool.

Sure, it'd be hard trying to rebuild connections with other forum-goers, trying to find your friends in the confusion, but at least the most obnoxious part of the Halo community is pretty much gone now.

Wait, this would mean I wouldn't be a Mythic Member! Noooo!

I haven't had much of a history here, so it doesn't really matter to me.

- Dawes, A little bit of everything

My ego would rather prefer it if I could keep my join date on my profile so that I could feel superior to others.

My ego has also prompted the following statement: I like the way it is now, and I don't think it needs a complete reboot.

I've now killed my ego. If it needs to be done, do it. I could care less.

(I know nothing of psychology/ego/id/whatever.)

That would be a wonderful thing.
