Nope. SouthPole isn't a person. He's the avatar of the force of tryhards everywhere. He stalks the web looking for retards to set straight. He can not be stopped by mere bans or thread locks for he shall rise anew.

what does change is your opponents and your view on the game.

That's what I meant.

I probably won't bother arguing with this, so let's go with your definition.

Forget it man, and get with the countdown. Shake this square world and blast off for Kicksville.

Reach host ranking algorithm: (a*quit_percentage + b*isMexican + c*(1/KDR) + d*hasGuest) * 100
where a > b = d > c

Heck, I want to join in the fun.

What's your take on
Armor Lock?

Obviously a crutch. Spawning with any sort of invincibility in an FPS is just a bad idea from the beginning, but it at least should have been based on timing and reflexes. The only way I see it ever contributing positively to the game is if...

AAs?
...it was a pickup, ala equipment. AAs clearly ruin the equal-off-spawn balance Halo multiplayer has always had, and Jetpack just outright destroys the entire point of map control. You also get stupid power weapon combinations like Jetpack+Rockets, Camo+Sniper, Sprint+Sword, etc, that give people kills without requiring any real awareness, positioning, or synaptic ability.

At least if they were pickups you'd be able to evaluate your opponent's options and try to make tactically sound choices. You'd also reintroduce some incentive for map control and prevent entire teams from whoring out the same AAs.

Bloom?
Ruins individual battles. The optimal rate of fire will always be such that you are shooting slightly faster than your opponent while minimising accuracy loss. In practise, you might as well just spam and hope you get lucky. If you do pace, you will die at least some of the time to players who spam.

Even if bloom were adjusted to be less random in individual battles, I still think it would make the teamshot too dominant.

BR?
Post-patch H2 BR = perfection (well, in an ideal Halo it would have less aim assist/bullet magnetism, but I digress).

Spawn Killing?
Don't lose map control. If you do, and you don't like dying 30 times in quick succession, quit.

1-50?
Much better than credit ranks, obviously. Still, not perfect. Ideally we'd have some sort of rating system that reflected individual skill (i.e. rewarded players who did well even when randy badkids caused the team to lose) without encouraging selfish play (i.e. the former arena rating system). How to achieve that is another matter.

Why not stop by my File Share while you're here?

~Long Live Halo 2
Only regret is I didn't play more of it.

If you haven't noticed by now, I'm sort of a jerk.

I'm just going to answer for the hell of it, I have nothing better to do.
AL: It's honestly one of the single most retarded additions to any game, there is no way invincibility belongs in any FPS. Anyone who likes/defends AL likely does not posses thumbs or index fingers.

AAs- They have no role, their purpose is easily fulfilled when you add in the previous equipments, and you should never start with an equipment.

Bloom- In theory, it would have worked great, make it so people hitting the trigger 5 times a second lose their accuracy. But then lolreach decided to make it so it doesn't matter whether you had bloom on and spammed like hell or actually paced your shot.

BR- It's a consistent, reliable, versatile killing machine, and there was no reason to drop it for anything short of a power weapon, because anyone competent can out gun someone even at close range. It needs to return. The better player actually wins in BR battles, a vast majority of the time.

Spawn Killing- It's perfectly legitimate, If you are getting spawn killed, your team deserved it because you lost map control and power weapon/vehicle control. Anyone saying it isn't legit likely has no idea what they are attempting to say.

1-50: Again, great in it's theory of showing the better players (which it did in both Halo 2 and 3), but still so easy (in Halo 3) that people who have no idea what's going on can AR+Beatdown their way to the 40s in LW. However, the good players still got 50s, while the lesser players did not. In Halo 2, it was a more accurate depiction of real skill, as it became significantly more difficult to rank up as you went up. People who were in the low 40s and higher, legitimately, were the best.

It needs to come back. Not so in a way that it's impossible to rank up, like Halo 2, or so easy to do so, as in Halo 3, but in a blend. A blend where it's still difficult to rank up, but not near impossible to be at the top tier (50) without cheating.

anyhow, i don't see how barely coherent sentences is eloquent, it's more like a riddle and borderline gibberish.

Have you ever read shakespere?Dont think that I would have the nerve to compare myself to him,but his words require the reader to chew on them before they can be digested, which makes them enjoyable to read, even hundreds of years later.Sidenote, read King lear, his finest work IMO.

Shakespeare's work requires reflection because it has depth, but also because the writing style is significantly different from the modern norm.

Your writing is just gibberish.

sentence structure is important, spelling and punctuation isn't that important because we read words as objects and we are able to fill in the gaps or automatically correct the errors while reading and other words are spelled differently even though we pronounce them the same way and understand which meaning is being used by the context it was being used in.

poor sentence structure makes it a lot harder for people to understand what you are trying to say and for a person in his 30's(?) is very bad and shows a severe lack of intelligence.
