Why Four 4 player Coop in Halo 2?
Well for one thing, not everyone is the Gaming God of War. I've played Halo 1 over and over and over again (and over and over and over again), still do when I want to crack Covenant Skulls (or run screaming from the Flood..."ACK! GET'EM OFF MEH!"), I've beatin it on all settings.
However, on Legendary, the sheer numbers of the Covenant Forces I engage agaisnt sometimes leaves me pinned behind something else for a good long time, and in the end, I'm sometimes out of ammo, no grenades, and a snow balls chance in h-#@$ in surviving a close quarters confrontation with three elites who are just now rushing my cover.
Sometimes (and serious, I'm expreinced, not the best), firefights in the early levels can last close to twenty minutes, and thats WITH a friend. I like the odds stacked up against me but sometimes it just gets out right frustrating to charge a room eight times, only to be thrown back that many times or more.
It was the lack of fire support that made Legendary unfair, yeah, I like the odds stacked against me, but we're talking about Alamo Fair, and we all know what happened at the Alamo. At times, I wish I could send two of meh friends one way, and me and my partner go the other, the combat would still be tough due to the level of skill floating around here in the South, and since no matter how many times I've played it, its very, VERY rare I come across the same firefight, the tactics and sometimes how you approach things have to be flexiable and fresh...or you could always rince lather and repeat the same "...toss all the grenades, attract attention and flee," tactic.
Another reason is they're maybe more Halo players in the house, and we're getting 2 of them bad boys to riddle everything that moves with bullets, ourselves included, and we're getting 2 so we don't have to constantly fight on who was going to play the capain and with whom.
And it would rock.
But as one said, the ball is in Bungies' hands, and we all better count our blessings to get a sequal, they could have shrugged their shoulders and went to something else.
Bungie loves you! oo
