I have wondered this for ages. In the Silent Cartographer, you walk into that place and it is called 'Shafted', You come up behind an Elite and Melee him. What is that thing he is working on? They are all over the beach on The Silent Cartographer aswell.

I'll bet the Elite didn't have exact change and MC needed a refreshing beverage after his beachhead assault. I would've done the same rather than wait in line for a cherry coke.

Maybe there pay phones and the elite didn't use 1-800-collect and there is now way in hell that the MC is going to pay long distance charges.....but then again why is the elite calling the MC?

It was probably an ATM machine and the elite was withdrawing some money on a stolen card. The MC made sure he never did that again.
