"It's not who I am underneath, but what I do that defines me."

I have Reach installed on my Hard Drive. I'm buying CEA tonight. Can I use the CEA disc to launch the entire Reach multiplayer? Or do I only get to play those 7 maps and have to use the Reach disc for the full experience?

I thought I read an official answer that we would be able to launch the full multiplayer, but I've been hearing different reports.

Call me Stu

Last I heard it was just the 7 maps.

I'm pretty sure it's all of the maps. Just like the ODST multiplayer disc.

I've heard it is just the CEA maps. But you will have a code to download the CEA maps for Reach separately; then you can play on the Reach disc.

Just the 7.

I've also heard something about being given a download code for the 7 maps? Last I heard 343 said they were not going to ever do that, but the way people have been talking makes me think they announced it somewhere so maybe 343 changed their minds.

Welcome to the internet. Joy dies here.

A ninja with a question? Wow..
They've indicated they're including a voucher to download the maps for Reach. CEA will have it's own MM interface only giving access to the CEA specific playlists with the new maps.

If you want to be able to switch to vanilla, download the maps and play from Reach. If you just want to play CEA MM, all you need is the CEA disc.

Here's the article I'm getting my info from.

Why not stop by my File Share while you're here?

Only regret is I didn't play more of it.

If you haven't noticed by now, I'm sort of a jerk.

New maps only. ODST disc loaded Halo 3's entire multiplayer because it contained all the multiplayer maps on it.

Until I see a body, Noble 6 is not dead. (Yes, I'm stuborn)
Besides
A) Death Is Cheap

B) We Never Saw A Body

C) I passed a few dozen of him/her today in matchmaking.

From IGN http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/121/1212202p1.html

Today 343 Industries clarified that Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary and the Anniversary Map Pack are two separate entities. Next week players can nab Halo: CE Anniversary for $39.99 or simply buy the multiplayer component, the Anniversary Map Pack, for 1200 Microsoft Points ($15).

Battle Canyon

The Anniversary Map Pack contains six maps (Battle Canyon, Breakneck, High Noon, Penance, Ridgeline, Solitary) and one firefight map (Installation 04). Owners of Halo: CE Anniversary can access the maps via the main menu, or alternatively use a retail download code for the map pack so that it can be accessed through Halo: Reach.

Confused yet? Don't be. All this means is that you can get seven maps for $15 instead of buying Halo: CE Anniversary if you so choose.

The Anniversary Matchmaking Playlists enter into rotation on Monday, November 14 in preparation for the release of the game. Halo: CE Anniversary and the Anniversary Map Pack arrive on Tuesday, November 15.

I was wondering the same thing. If not then I will be extremely disappointed.
