You say tomato; I say potato.
what do you think of a forums friends list? it would make PMing a lot easier and faster. it would also make your bungie profile more personal.
Last.fm/SteamOMG: Gaming for the fun of it in the UK & Europe
Personally, it would probably help me a lot. So yeah, i like the idea.
Phrog pilots, reckless and free. We would strap into our birds, set the engines on fire, and leave these earthly bonds with a chorus of WHOP WHOP WHOP. Akin to beating your chest and howling in defiance at the rest of the world. Phrogs eye viewsockbaby
Being able to see if your buddies were online would be cool but it would suck for the Bungie guys and mods. Think of the flood of random friend requests they would receive and then have to deny. That would soon follow with something like:"Franky, why U no accept my freind requests" :P[Edited on 4/28/2006]

For Carnage, Apply Within.I have returned from the Untamed Lands. MOAP is dead.
Having a friends list would be stupid. Mainly because no one would add me.
just say no
Skillet was here and referred to himself in the third person.
*swoosh!*Good idea...I like it and I think Bungie should do it. But wether it will happen or not is not for me to sya...because I don't know!Isn't life great?*swoosh!*

Not a bad idea... then I could spam my friends when they were actually online...

"Whatever exists, whatever in creation exists without my knowledge exists without my consent. These anonymous creatures may seem little or nothing in the world. Yet the smallest crumb can devour us. Any smallest thing beneath yon rock out of men's knowing. Only nature can enslave man and only when the existence of each last entity is routed out and made to stand naked before him will he be properly suzerain of the earth."
In all fairness I think there should also be an "Enemies" list.
Posted by: MabianIn all fairness I think there should also be an "Enemies" list.An "ignore" list is close enough, isn't it? I personally think it's a great idea; one of the best i've ever heard, actually.
who needs to be told in order for it to happen?

$x='print chr(36),"x=",chr(39),$x,chr(39),";\n",$x; ';print chr(36),"x=",chr(39),$x,chr(39),";\n",$x; I work at Microsoft. I have nothing to do with Halo and nothing I say is "the official word".
Yes, definitely.I always check to see if me xbl friends are online, but it would be nice to see if they are on bnet
Posted by: impurityThat could also be a great help to the 7th Column and group interaction. Yeah, i know i would have around 20 people to add for group stuff.
Yeah a forum friends list would be good, with a search etc, there are alot of things missing on these forums. But they are good none the less.
Bungie listens to its fans! ^.^ | Ninja .II./ YouRCG: In ur base, steelin' ur flagz. | Watch the demo, then join the carnage!
That would be a great idea.It would definitely help with communication and group organisation too.Good thinking! =)
Posted by: WolfmanMaverickYou people have just sent my sides into orbit. A bunch of MLG try hards sucking the dick of some supposed pro half the thread hasn't even heard of. Classic.
Posted by: MabianIn all fairness I think there should also be an "Enemies" list.Well for you Mabian that would be a pretty long list. :)
-Quaere verum.Got a report? Use the report tool or send a pm.Chairleg Productions presents: 'Console Wars' and 'Games as Art?' (also on Halo Waypoint).
Hmm me thinks tis a good idea in general and of course it would be tonnes quicker for PMing and whatnot. However, some sort of number limit would be wise and also an option to be "open to friend requests" should be available. I think this should be a way of avoiding an endless influx of friends requests for moderators, staff members etc. (Though of course, they could still send requests. I'd also probably suggest a separate page for them with a link in the profile. Then again, i wouldn't be surprised if Achronos et al saw this feature as somewhat of a pointless and space consuming problem.
Recon, i like your thinking. Infact, this way there are sooo many more possibilities available. The only draw back being that some of those functions would be reliant of people using msn messenger but that's their own damn problem! ;-)
