I realize that this topic has been gone over a bunch of times but I want to make sure there is a super exact up-to-date way to do this, is their a way I can change my windows live ID email account without it affecting my linked profile. I just want to make sure i don't loose progress such as nameplates or any part of my service record. Sorry in advance if this is the wrong forum to place this topic in. Any help would be appreciated.

What do you mean? Do you want to link your GT to another bungie.net account?

Why not stop by my File Share while you're here?

Only regret is I didn't play more of it.

If you haven't noticed by now, I'm sort of a jerk.

This may help you.

Click here. Click 'sign in' in the top right corner. Sign in just like you do for your Bungie.net account.

If it doesn't do it automatically, click 'account' to go to a page with all your information. The very top option will be to change your e-mail. Just change it.

Please note that this means all notices, payment information, and log-in information will change to the new e-mail. This will not unlink your gamertag or change ANYTHING other than the e-mail you use to log into your account and the e-mail stuff is sent to.

You can link your XBL GT to a different WLID through the Xbox 360 dashboard. It will however link your GT to whatever bungie.net profile you make with that WLID. You won't lose nameplates or anything though for linking your GT to a different account, you may have to re choose your nameplate though.

That's pretty cool.

So will it still work even though i already have my profile linked? Im worried that if I change my xbox live windows live ID first on the xbox that my bungie.net profile won't see it.

If you change it on your Xbox your gamertag will be unlinked and you will either need to create a new Bungie.net account or wait a month before you can change it back. You don't want that.

If you do it from the website, however (google 'windows live id email change' if you don't trust my link, by the way, as google produces the same one), nothing changes.

I've done this quite a few times.
