Your presence here is quite unneeded. Begone you!!!

oh I can name some things that are getting abused pretty badly that will make the pistol, DMR and AL look like they're nothing
to make a fuss over

Don't like it don't play it.

R.I.P. Halo 2 <33333333
Do not play halo much anymore. Barely ever come on here.

Have not played it yet and I am still wondering if I should get the maps or not because of this reason.

Someone is going to always have a problem with halo. Reach was a good example, but now the game is essentially fixed.

I am going to say this as seriously as possible: The Magnum is not, and I mean is not broken! In fact, we might see it viewed as a power weapon. Hell, It might even completely replace the DMR. Think back to the days of Halo CE. Wasn't that a 3 shot kill weapon? That's how it was played back in the day, and I wish I could have played Halo CE as competitively back then as I did in Halo 3 and Reach.

In the TU playlist, everyone spawns with a magnum. So whats broken about it? Its a fast 4 shot kill weapon? It was used no differently than how the BR was (except the Halo 3 BR could have gone without spread). You guys are so used to the randomness of bloom, that you cannot aim quick enough or react fast enough to out Magnum your opponent.

I hope MLG will consider keeping the Magnum. I'm still trying to master it in NB gametypes.

My third montage!

Isn't it only in certain playlists? Regular/Default Reach will still be available, so how does this hurt anyone?

Can someone tell me what's wrong with these two, this made me LOL hard.

No one complained when it was in Halo: CE. Why do people complain about things? This is why we don't get nice things.

Guess what? Halo Reach uses an entirely different engine than Halo CE. With Halo CE, you had to lead your shots. In Reach though, you don't. That's the problem with the TU for Reach. Instead of actually really fixing issues with Reach, they blended it with old Halo elements. Old Halo elements will never work with Reach.

So we know have a hybrid/abomination of Reach that may or may not be worse than default Reach. Goodie.

Just because reach and CE aren't the same in gameplay, doesn't mean that it's going to ruin reach. If anything, it'd widen the skill gap in this game.

I just go to my friend's house since I left my old Xbox there with him. He keeps it in good condition and every Sunday a group of 16 friends go over, have a few sodas and chips and we go at it until around 9PM in CE.

Me and my Coach are playing a couple guys in a 13 game scrimmage 2v2. It's gonna be sick.

The Game Pazzo LAN center runs CE during the winter too. I plan on going from time to time this season :D

There's still a difference though. In CE, you had to lead your shots and actually aim.

In Reach, all you need to do is point and shoot.

It'll basically be a race to see who can pull the trigger faster than the other. And lets not even get started on Reach's atrocious system designed to make bad kids happy. Even if you can out shoot another magnum user, you'll likely die anyway seeing as the third bullet that wasn't fired from your dead opponent will just magically pop out of thin air and kill you.

But anyway, it's all irrelevant now. Reach is what it is. I'll abandon it to it's fate and wait until a true Halo game comes round.

a 3sk is broken and not acceptable in todays video games

I heard that Modern Warfare had a 2 shot or less kill with it's Desert Eagle.

Wait in Halo CE, you only led your shots at long range. The majority of the time in Reach, you are mid to close range. So really, there isn't much of a difference. Plus the magnum in CE was a 3 shot kill weapon. If anything, the CE magnum was easier to use, than Reach's.

I don't know if anyone notices, but the Reach Magnum is not that effective when shooting from across the map. at a fast fire-rate, there isn't bloom, but there is still spread, much like the Halo 3 BR. So really, the DMR and Needle Rifle is a much more accurate weapon.

The magnum is good for certain situations, like a mid-range strafe battle, or 3 shot melee kill for short range. I would not suggest doing so across Sanctuary, for example.

You had to start leading your shots pretty early actually. Also there was far more than shot leading. Your opponents moved faster, strafed faster, had smaller head hitboxes and there was less aim assist and bullet magnetism.

You'd struggle to 3sk your little sister mashing her controller on a Halo CE spartan consistently, you can 3sk a decent player on Reach on a regular basis because they just move too slowly, can't strafe effectively and have a head hitbox the size of a balloon.

You probably wouldn't understand unless you went and played it, but it's hard to 3sk. If I got 25% of my kills in a game of CE as 3sks it was an amazing match, if I got 75% on Reach I wouldn't even care.

The 3sk pistol was always broken. It was altered just before CE went gold, and because CE has no LIVE, it couldn't be fixed via a TU. Both Bungie and Frankie admitted that it shouldn't have been as overpowered as it was.
