Come and list your favorite battle tactics, whether they be cheap, dirty, honorable, funny, or downright mean. they can be how-tos, certain case scenarios, or anything that helps you get the upper hand in combat.

Anti-Air: If I dedicate myself to taking down banshee lovers, my favorite tactic is to grab the plama rifle and the shotgun. It works best if you are being attacked by the banshee or can get in close (know how to dodge them!). I start out with the plama rifle for both the longer medium range distance, and to eat their shields, and as they get closer it just makes their demise faster. When the shields flash switch to the shotgun, and if they are fairly close you will be able to take them out in one maybe 2 shots. This is also a decent tactic for very close fighting against other MCs, but at med to long range, anyone decent with a pistol will take you down. Watch out for ground support and crossfire!.

Does anybody know how to put the catapult launch (i.e. the gunner on the warthog aims backward while traveling fast and pushes the action button, and goes flying) into good use?? I Try to use it to get onto the opponents base, but never seem to quite make it...

true it does take a lot of skill to peg a banshee with a plasnade, it gets a little easier if you wait till you are almost kissin the thing though (and takes some dodging skill).

An area I like to use the sniper rifle is in Bloodgulch on the red side, right behind and below the rock by the cave entrance, that way you are in the dark, have access to 90% of the field without having to worry about being sniped from the enemy base or cave.

Thanks

Here's one that needs to go in the dirty tricks section (but I can't find it); ;)
"If you can't hit them in the head, shoot their feet"
In Blood Gulch when someone is hiding behind the battlement (the wall things along the edge of the base) with ther sniper rifle, their feet just barely poke out at the bottom where the battlement thins, so you can shoot them twice in the foot with a snipe rifle to kill them.

bah

You can also grab a sniper rifle from the ground in BG. Just jump up and grab it. Someone got pissed at me for doing this once, they thought they would get it, so they shot me once with the pistol to show their discontent. I promptly returned the favor with my slightly bigger gun. They had to go get health. :)

Send a in couple of noobz to draw some attention from the opposing team and then line up a couple of pros to clean up anything that pops up on the radar.

My team almost always wins Team Slayer...

Camp out by the blues teleport reciever, and frag everyone who comes thru. Doesn't work as well for the red one though because they can see you from the base, (And you'll geet sniped)

In sidewinder when your being chased through the teleproters, when you jump through one back around the side of it (refering to the ones that are two way), and hide there and when they jump through one blow to the back takes care of that.

When using the pistol, remember to adjust for range- the bullets are affected by gravity, so you have to aim a little high for long range...
