Subject: Spartan IV Program.

Augmentation and technology wise they should be equal to or better than the IIs and IIIs, unless medical technology just stopped advancing for some reason. ONI is not likely to spend money on a program that they know does not work, so we can be sure that they have found a way around the problems of the original ORION program. As for training, they probably will not be as good. The other programs were trained since childhood for between 6 and 8 years. The Iv's will have years of experience though before they were augmented, so that might account for something. I am thinking perhaps ODSTs on steroids for the Spartan-IVs, which would still be a force to be reckoned with. Probably quite capable of going toe-to-toe with Elites.

This is how I thought it'd be like. Since evidently medical tech has reached a sufficiently advanced state where normal human males can be augmented, I'd imagine there'd be more Spartans then ever before (especially since the Spartans' heroics are galaxy-renowned, the volunteering issue won't be an issue). They'd be able to focus less on rigorous training and more on getting the augs to become more mainstream.

And as someone above said, they've got their own normal training, plus real life combat experience.
