First of all I'm a fan of Halo Games & a fan of SW Movies, so you can't say that I'm completely against SW, but I do like Halo more.

So which side do you think would win?

Personally i think Halo would have a tactical advantage if the covenant and unsc were forced to unite.

Oh yeah, and I did do some research to beat most of the technicalities that would make SW win.

But I'm still open to see who really could win...so take your best shot.

We are all going to get banned aren't we?

I hate when idiots ask this without giving a scenario.

The Ancient races in halo are the only ones that might be able to take on the Entire force of halo together.

"Starwars" is a vague term. there are hundreds of races will trillions of armies. so you need to be very specific in what you mean.

And the Topic "Halo vs Star wars"

Yeah...

Look, I'll link it for you: http://www.bungie.net/Forums/posts.aspx?postID=59926446

In short, Grey is 100% correct: Ancient civilisations in Halo (Forerunner etc)> Star Wars major factions > UNSC/Covenant = Some minor SW factions/ Old Republic era SW.

Sorry bout that, i pretty much mean either Clone Wars Era or Empire Era mostly, since I don't know much more than that.

Plus, I hope people don't think they have to bring in to much Forerunner & no Procursor stuff since it may be too unfair.

How would it be unfair when they are the only ones to have the population and technical means to deal with that?

Clones are produced like rats and Drones are manufactured by the millions.

Fleet wise Halo (UNSC and Covenent) might be fine against those factions together. But on the ground the The UNSC and covenant would have to pray that they are skilled enough for the numbers.

Your right about that, but if you throw in the Halo Legends Arbiter on the ground...The UNSC and Covies wouldn't have to start praying.

The Arbiter depicted in Legends is exaggerated, much like tales of king Arthur, or Baewulf are exaggerated, one might even say they are legends.

"Modern" Halo factions, the UNSC, the Covenant (and all it's fractured bits), cannot compare to the scale of any major SW faction.

You are pitting nations with at most a couple of thousand worlds against nations with millions of worlds under their banner. It's a scale issue as much as anything, but once you factor in the problems of SW ships being faster, more numerous, more heavily defended, and having more firepower than the equivalent class of Covenat vessel.... It's not a meaningful comparison, any major SW faction could simply roll over the Covenant AND UNSC.

Of course if you bring the Forerunner in, the scales are completely turned, they would have little difficulty enforcing their Mantle on the Corusca galaxy. (Regardless of era-they are that far above SW on an individual basis it wouldn't matter).

Old republic era rocks. Although it is not as great but the jedi's and the sith, man they have some extra tricks up their sleeves, plus not much changes in the battlefield other than, droids becoming thinner and stupider.
Plus the clone troopers were ruined by George Lucas, with The clone wars cartoons and the empire stormtroopers can not hit a single target.

plus there already has been some like this, and they are quite interesting, but as no one is here nowadays, there seems to be no debate.

F34R Team Hunter

my only defense for halo without bringing in the entirety of the forerunners is:

1) get ark outside of SW galaxy, with high charity and its defense fleet + a unsc fleet guard
2) place a unsc fleet loaded with nukes inside of a shield world & several covenant fleets in the remaining shield worlds
3) teleport rings and shield worlds into the galaxy, the UNSC one to kamino
4) let the covies light the rings, technicality shows that the rings would only kill humans in the SW galaxy, not all sentient life...but anything in the shield world are completely protected from the blasts
5) release the fleets, unsc nuke the crap out of kamino to destroy main clone factories, if not all of them
6) have forces try to get dna samples from fallen enemy species and retreat back to ark
7) reprogram the ark to reset the rings' targeting systems to kill sentient life recorded in the SW galaxy
8) fire rings again
9) finish off remaining enemy armies

This is the best attack strategy i could think of in the past month after reading over a lot of technicalities.

If any one can beat this logic, let me be the first Spartan to surrender to the might of Star Wars.

P.S. By the way when the rings fire the first time: Sidious, Dooku, Anakin, Obi Wan, Mace, Luke, and the guy from TFU would all die...since they are still human after all.

This is my one and only last line of defense, just like the Halo array with the Flood, this is my final stand against SW.

If this fails I surrender. :(

my only defense for halo without bringing in the entirety of the forerunners is:

....To have the UNSC and Covenant use all the Forerunner tech..

We don't know if either faction can control it that well, for starters, secondly : this is basically a Forerunner-in-all-but-name win.

1) get ark outside of SW galaxy, with high charity and its defense fleet + a unsc fleet guard

1: how do you move it.
2: It's a little blown up.
3: The fleet is better used in hit-and run elsewhere, it's not going to survive a protracted battle.

2) place a unsc fleet loaded with nukes inside of a shield world & several covenant fleets in the remaining shield worlds
3) teleport rings and shield worlds into the galaxy, the UNSC one to kamino

1: The UNSC/Covenant do not know how to teleport Halos.
2: Please show that hield worlds can be teleported at all (ie: prove they were not built in-situe)

4) let the covies light the rings, technicality shows that the rings would only kill humans in the SW galaxy, not all sentient life...but anything in the shield world are completely protected from the blasts

Win by Forerunner plot device, which should kill everything, I know the "just targeted species" thing is a pet theory of a few people on this board, but I personally don't believe there is enough evidence to support it.

The Forerunner plot devices... err I mean Halos... should accomplish this all just fine on their own.... *IF*
(And it's a big IF) you can teleport/slipstream them about the place willy-nilly.

This is the best attack strategy i could think of in the past month after reading over a lot of technicalities.

If any one can beat this logic, let me be the first Spartan to surrender to the might of Star Wars.

Erm, basically... wtf??? :s

I don't mean to sound harsh, but this is a bit...odd.

You are not "at war" with SW, it's a debate... :s

I don't understand why people bring super weapons into parallel wars.

If this war was to happen they wouldn't use the halo's unless the system was enemy controlled. They wouldn't just activate the array and hide. Thats too much work.

If Palpatine really wanted, he could open a force storm and send those rings straight back where they came from. Plus, in addition to the prior statements that the humans and Covenant don't know how to move a ring, Star Wars has it's own range of super weapons, such as the Galaxy Gun, which could easily destroy the rings, thus making your strategy fall flat on its face

Ok halo versus star wars... Really?? Both stories are epic let's not discuss and focus which characters and armies would overpower the other. Star wars is a bad ass story but was horribly composed in the movies, they had games to fill in the plot holes, same with halo who had books made to fill in its gaps. Point is guys that both franchises are awesome and like it or not halo has been seen as this generations star wars, more plausible flame wars would be like star wars versus star trek or halo versus gears of war....

lol...halo vs. gears of war. As much as I like Gears of War and am a fan of the games, it's blatantly obvious to me that the only space forces that any Seran force has are the Hammer of Dawn platforms.

Super weapons shouldn't but used in an actual discussion.
