They should blanket ban this thread for the laughs.
I think blanket bans should be used more often as it would discourage people from being idiots.
No, they shouldn't.
I know posting on a spam thread is against the rules but it happens all the time and 73 people just got screwed.
(assuming everyone other than Qbix and OP posted once).
Oh well, at least this kind of things is rare.
"But officer, I know speeding is against the law, but everyone does it!"
Well played
But are mods allowed to speed too?
Anyway I understand why everyone was banned, I guess if it is TOO obvious it is grounds for a ban.
But sometimes it is hard to tell if it is a troll thread.
But, guess that is another thing to worry about.
Yes, the mods are allowed to go a little further than we. For example, to pull over a car that is speeding, the police have to go over the speed limit as well (in most cases).
"But sometimes it is hard to tell if it is a troll thread." Oh really? If in doubt, just don't post.Your analogy doesn't apply because mods have no need to break the rules to facilitate enforcing the rules, which is very unlike the speeding example.

Blanket bans are fun. It is like playing Russian Roulette with a hand grenade. Everybody wins.More like playing Russian Roulette with a nuclear missile launch code that is sure to send an ICMB that blows up Los Angeles... Los Angeles is the thread.Wait, if it's LA (which includes Hollywood), can I press the button?
