When clicking the profile page of a person who is banned, select the recent forum posts. You will see small parts of all the posts they made. If that person is banned, you can still see part of the post.

Thought it was funny. It's only a few lines, but still. The whole point of banning them and making their post invisible is a little pointless if you can still get a sneak preview in their recent posts.

13.72 billion years in the making.

On December 1st, 2012, I met Neil deGrasse Tyson. I shook the man's hand, and even made him laugh. Not much else to do with my life now.

I don't think the ability to view the banned post should be forbidden.

I want to know what abhorrent misuse of this site happened.

It isn't a big deal. It is rare that you see the whole of their post, and it isn't really displayed for everyone to see because you have to go looking for it.

I know it's not a big deal. Still, a little funny. A lot of people who get banned post a single link in their thread (often to a shock site). That will be visible in the recent posts.

I don't know what the webteam's take on this is; but I'm sure it wasn't just overlooked.

I'd take a guess that is has to do with accidentally stumbling upon a user's post when looking in a forum being one thing; but going out of your way to find a user being different.

True, but it isn't a hyperlink when viewed via the recent posts page, so it would be the user's problem if they visited the site.

No. The point of hiding the offensive content is so people don't see it accidentally. If someone seeks out what a user posted, they should be prepared for what they find.

Hi I'm RT and I like to argue!

*facepalm*

Why would you make a thread about this? This site has several "features" that advanced users have been exploiting for years.

Didn't know there were any, leave it to you to keep track of that, I guess.

As I said before, if you go looking for something that a user was banned for...why be surprised when it's something you didn't want to see? The current system just hides it on the forums so people don't accidentally stumble upon it.

First of all, the link isn't clickable, and second, you can see the site URL. Its really your own fault if you end up viewing a shock site that way.

Oh, well if the "advanced users" do it, then I guess making a thread about it is a waste of time.

I lol'd at the absurd miscommunication that occurs whenever dibbs post something. Perhaps his brain is so highly evolved that he can no longer clearly communicate with lesser life forms, even among his own species.

Well this is oddly specific.

Deflecting is fun.
