Its a game have fun

It seems that is what these threads were designed for and now they have a new target ANNIVERSARY!

I mean seriously apart from the occasional lag in co-op matchmaking there is nothing wrong with the game.

Ok lets start
First of all the graphics are fine for what they had to work with so their is no problem there (or if you guys like you could have paid $60 for 2001 graphics).

I also so saw an earlier post complaining that it was a completely different Cpt. Keyes model (FFS they had to use the same model as reach or it just wouldn't flow you dip-blam!-)

Last but not least is that they not changed a dam thing about the campaign, the way it plays , the story line, or the personality of the characters so i see nothing wrong with it but the way i see it nothing bungie or 343 can do will ever be perfect for you guys.

PS. Maybe they should let you guys do the hard work and have everyone complain about it.
Get a life and live with what you've got cause there's people in this world alot worse of than you

I DO have time to bleed...i just dont want to.

i like anniversery. i just dont really like how some of the wepions are the ones from reach i would rather they were the ones form halo 3 because they look alot more like the ce weps but other than that i love it. i got confused yesterday because i was playing the level "343 guilty spark" and i got to the lift near the end of the first flood encounter underground and i pressed the button and i heard an exposion and the lift blew up so i was like "wtf i dont remember this happining how do i get out now?!" but i soon rememberd that there is another lift lol good times ;D

Let me give my background as a Halo gamer. First and only game played Reach, got CE beat PoA they advertised Anniversary so i put CE away and waited. Most of the video is BLAM as heck. the game play is on par with that generation, definately feels and LOOKS like an old game. maybe more of a 2005 game than a 2001 game, but the graphics are not pristine very grainy... i could only describe it as a SEGA CD FMV scene. a little better but poorly poorly done. It is still my first time going through the campaign of Halo CE so i'll finish it, even though i read the book. so yeah as a new CE player i'd have to say this game sucks compared to Reach in every aspect except story. not having sprint isn't that bad the game at least moves relatively fast :)

The little hope I had for playing the only real good halo game again was crushed by this horrible remake.

The campaign "updated" graphics actually look worse than the original, and there's still only two-player co-op. The multiplayer isn't even Halo, it's just a damn map pack.

After being a LAN partier, competition player, modder, glitcher/tricker, and pretty much everything else in the first game, I was so excited to see that I could finally play this game online on the console it was meant to be on. After ten long years, my dreams were crushed by this half-assed game. All they would've had to do is port over the pc game and polish it up, instead they made a single player mod and threw in a map pack.

This game was an abortion, and the last time I will ever buy a game of this series.

I agree with FerretMunch. For me halo died with reach.. if halo 4 is similar to reach then i guess i gotta start playing cod -.-. Halo got less than 60k people online i think that's evidence enough that the series is failing.

And to consider yourself a halo gamer reach or halo 3 can't be the first halo you played -.-

"I can accept failure, everyone fails at something, but I can't accept not trying." - M. Jordan

There is a lot of clipping and other graphical issues. The game at times seems poorly made. They also gave the impression we would be able to customize bloom in settings. I really hate that there is bloom with the new three shot pistol.

Some levels look a lot better than other ones which is weird. It might have been better to wait until the next Xbox is released to remake this game. They need better hardware to work with and to stop being limited to fitting games on DVD. Hopefully M$ uses Blu-ray in the next gen. It wouldn't be such a bad thing if they made major releases downloadable. Utilizing the hard drive would be nice since my Xbox is still very loud after "installing" the game.

First complaint: Why are we posting here? The Halo.xbox.com forums have authentication offline, probably because they don't want to listen to everyone complaining.

My second complaint is putting skulls in the game that require grenade jumping which doesn't really work. Try getting the Fog Skull when everytime you go to jump you walk off the stupid ledge. Way to fail!

Graphically it looks better. The music, can't tell the differece but if I was so inclined to compare, I do have the original around somewhere. I will say this, I do very much like the Grunt Funeral Skull, mixing it with Boom & it makes for some big baddaboom times. The Bandana aka Rambo Skull.. diggin it for Compaign Covicide.

My first complaint: All this complaining about "not changing anything but the graphics". 343i said flat out "you can't change the bloom, 4 player co-op can't work because they would have to reprogram it to allow 4 players, they kept the gameplay the same because the majority of fans WANTED it that way, and yes, the remade maps ARE for Reach." Now let's address the ACTUAL issues. The new geometry placed over the old has, in 3 cases for me, been bigger or smaller than classic. I tried sniping a grunt on TaR but I was hitting rock. I switched to classic and that small space I tried shooting through was covered by the cliff wall. Same thing happened when I was shooting the Banshees in Halo. Later in the same level, I drove up the cliff on the side of one of the rescue areas (the one with the beacon tower) to snipe the remaining d00dz. When I backed up to jump down there, I drove off the other side... THROUGH the ground. Too much ground added here. I'm also not entirely pleased with the Banshee model, but at least it flies like it used to. I also thought the Theater would work for the campaign, but alas, no such wonders for me. Overall, I am happy with the game, as it is just what me and many other people expected. So stop complaining about things that you would have known if you had done a little research before the games release.

The game was not what I expected. Of course, overall I think that it is well, the graphics are great, and some of the new side features. But I wish that 343i would have fixed some of the bugs that were in the original that are still in place.

For example the delayed jumping. Very annoying.

I would have to disagree with you, they done a beautiful job remastering Halo CE. I began playing Halo little more than 10 years ago shortly after it released and I've been hooked ever since. In my opinion CE is still one of the best if not the best games in the Halo series, the campaign is the best by far and the multiplayer is up there as well. Reach is pretty much the worst of the Halo's, the only thing it has going for it is graphics.

I guess people's opinion's will differ depending when you started playing Halo. Halo 2 probably had the best multiplayer experience period, which it was the first one capable of being played over XBL and I had countless late nights playing Matchmaking with friends that was some of the best times I've ever had playing online. Anyway, like I said don't take it personally this is just my opinion and everyone elses opinion will be different.

I can respectfully understand your argument. I'm a oldschool gamer. When they remade Lunar and Lunar 2, i said they reuined the game because they cut story changed game play and music. If i had played the original Halo: CE i'd probably be okay with this. But I played Reach first, which drove me to read several Halo Books, I really got a lot of respect for the story in whole, but when I bought ANNIV CE i was expecting Reach(ish Graphics) with old game play. what I got was second rate graphics. if you aren't old enough to understand what i'm talking about in a sega cd fmv you could see millions of motion blurs and those are evident to me on ANNIV CE, no other 360 or ps3 game today has that. I'm playing Uncharted 1 which is an older game and it has much much better looking graphics than they ported. I still am loving this game so far, but I really don't think it moved onto par with todays games like they said in their interviews. It's more like UT2003. As for you saying the best multiiplayer experience thats just your generation. kids that started with newer games will say the same thing as you in 10 years. Just as I could easily say that LAN parties with DOOM were the most fun ever. it's all about evoltion. The Halo 1/2 people are stuck in their happy place. so they move on to a different game. I just wish that wasn't COD. okay my rant got so long i lost track of what i was talking about. fact is, to a new Gamer, Reach is a more complete game than any of the others. bar none, but as someone that has watched tons of games remade or ruined with sequels i understand your point. I can say Mega Man, and Castlevania both two of my favorite childhood games were slaughtered. although a Megaman with a FPS perspective would be SO BLAM!
