because it puts the people who currently can't do anything at to much of a disadvantage.

They have earned their disadvantage by losing map control.

so, because a person is on the respawn for 5 secounds not being able to do anything then gets killed as soon as he spawns giving him little to no chance to push back, sure you could trade kills but you are still going to be on the respawn screen in the same situation.

that really isn't to much of a disadvantage?

You can break out of a spawn trap.

You wouldn't be on the respawn screen if you died.

that makes no sense, if you died you have to wait 5 secounds to respawn...

I've seen spawn killing from both sides, I know what it is like. There is almost always a way to break the trap. As you said, that might mean you have to trade several kills to put enough of the enemy back to their spawn.

so have i and i honestly feel that being able to predict where they are going to spawn almost right down to the spawn point is way to much, trading kills to get out of it will still leave your team at a huge disadvantage since your opponents have already done a lot of damage from little effort after the initial push.

i understand that the spawns will always be predictable and it isn't exactly avoided but they could be done a lot better to where you can spawn in a safe area but still be in a challenging or dangerous position due to the other team having you spawn trapped, you still have a big disadvantage due to extremely limiting options from being spawn trapped but you can still try and push back instead of being stuck on the respawn screen almost straight off of spawn.

So if I'm playing a game of Street Fighter and I have a life lead and my opponent trapped in the corner, I suppose i should do the "sporting" thing and back off a bit so he can get out of the corner and fight back. Or perhaps I should burn my Super meter. I mean, it's not HIS fault that he got put into such a disadvantageous situation, right? Surely it must be the game's fault somehow.

a player spawning in a disadvantageous position which the game controls is not the same as a person putting himself in a disadvantage.

Sure it is. The player(s) on the losing team got pushed to the disadvantageous spawns because his team failed to secure power weapons and advantageous locatoins on the map. You don't get sent to the respawn screen for no reason.

by failing to secure said positions he has already put himself at a disadvantage, he has very very limiting options but he can't control where he spawns now can he?
he can put him self in poor positions all he likes but he shouldn't be put in those positions by the game.

Being put in disadvantageous spawns is one of the main reasons why most of the desirable spots on maps are, well, desirable. Limiting your opponent's options and interdicting their map movement is one of the main incentives of attaining map control.

It's always been a part of Halo gameplay, and should remain so. And besides, in almost every situation, it's possible to fight one's way out of a spawn trap with proper coordination with one's teammates. If the losing team lacks this coordination to counter the opposing team's coordination, again, they deserve what they get.
