"We live in a special time; the only time where we can observationally verify that we live in a very special time" - Lawrence Krauss.

I was a finalist :P

That is definitely unexpected.

There's a word for what I am, but I can't pronounce it.

BFA, CCS - olde and bony & one minute musings.

Sad to hear. Typing my online handle into a search box every now and again to see sorcery beyond my understanding is just about the only interaction I've had with Halocharts, but I sympathize.

The website was, and is, a huge testament to what the brains of a video gaming community can build and the impact that can be made as a result. Far too easy to take these services for granted.

Now, in the quantum moment before the closure, when all become one. One moment left. One point of space and time.

I know who you are.

You are Destiny.

It's unfortunate to see such a kick-ass website go offline. I remember going on there every now and again ages ago for them stackin' stats.

RIP HaloCharts <3

Shame to see any community site close, especially one as developed as HaloCharts. I wonder if anyone will step up to take over maintenance.

I hope so, I love how...well...good their site was, it gets alot of un-needed flak I think.

But my mind is not at rest, for questions linger on

I'm gonna miss the friendly competitions with friends about who's high in whatever leaderboard.

Halocharts was the best place to check stats, even worldwide..

I will miss that site and thanks to Firestream :)

Plekpedia - The most epic site in the history of ever.

A very humble and noble choice on his part. Good job, and good luck Firestream.

I would say I am one of the most successful trolls in Bungie.net history.

Halo Charts was great for checking out those oddball stats, that's really all I ever used it for. I never really got involved with that community but from the few I played with/against I doubt if I would have liked it. I can't imagine how the owner/creator feels, I wouldn't want to let 4 years just go down the tubes.

Racism isn't wrong if it's funny.

I guess somebody didn't like Halo: Anniversary.

Back in Halo 3 days I used to go there quite often. Weird how things change.

It's a shame to see them go. They were a good site.

  • 11.18.2011 9:36 AM PDT

Wow, sad to see HC go. I didn't visit it a whole lot compared to others, but it was always an awesome place to go to. Best of luck to Firestream in his future.

Thanks for the kickass site and community that came from it. Good luck on your journey in life Firestream. Hope everything works out and take care.

If the special teams from HC need a fallback position, please welcome them to start private groups here. I would happily join them.

I think you can expect a fairly large influx of HC gamers back to B.net - most of us never left. Most of the core at HC can see one another through friends list chains on XBL anyway. The disappearance of HC, although a touch disappointing, will not stop the die/try-hard from playing H3/Reach. I know for a fact HC special teams are already entrenching themselves in the plush comforts of B.net; they will rally and a new site will form and step in to take its place.

Besides, we just have to weather the storm until Bungie tells us what's up.

As far as playing some games together goes DeeJ, I'd love to see a Gunslinger or two in action on Reach. I remember the view of you guys from under your boot in Halo3 not being so pleasant. ^_^ You can help me backpack Obi.

I won't speak for Halocharts as a whole, or Firestream for that matter, but I believe that our Halo journey will end with Bungies - on to greener pastures I suppose.

It was a hell of a run.

That is kinda where I'm at Del. Might be time to move on to another series. Bungie may have that next drug for us. Time will tell.

I broke one of the cords for my X11s because I couldn't get past the final American course in Doritos Crash Course.

Ah, that's a shame, I was always amazed by the number of different stats they managed to calculate and display. It will be missed.

Halocharts.com is officially down.

Will miss that site a lot. I am proud to have served as a moderator and take part of the Staff decisions.

Deej I know the old HCPL Squad is really interested in creating some sort of hub around here. Pete should be contacting us soon to get this project started.

Other than that, for the millionth time Firestream thank you so much for giving me the experience of HaloCharts.

Best halo-stat site.
