Folks, why did you register here?

I initially came here to post in the Reach forum, during its splendour of course.

"We live in a special time; the only time where we can observationally verify that we live in a very special time" - Lawrence Krauss.

I was a finalist :P

Playing Halo CE a long while ago - and noticing a small history of the company in the instruction manual on page [26] - I decided searching for more information about them (more specifically world domination). I actually then stumbled upon their actual site and Badda bing badda boom, next thing I know I am reading the weekly updates, creating an account a while after that.

A More Complete Compendium of a Bungie History
-Thanatos 117

I was a long time Bungie fan after Marathon and Myth. Xbox and Halo came out and blew all my expectations away. I knew there was going to be a sequel to Halo with how awesome the game was. On the box it directed me to "combatevolved.com" which of course led me to bungie.com and inevitably the wonderful bungie.net community. A lot has changed since those days. But my love for Bungie hasn't.

Something quite similar to this. Although I think it was my copy of Halo PC that led me here.

The tide is turning, brothers! Let us take our kingdom back!

I lurked here for a while, then my friend finally convinced me to join.

Now, in the quantum moment before the closure, when all become one. One moment left. One point of space and time.

I know who you are.

You are Destiny.

How else was I going to check my stats easily for Halo 2?

What a hipster.

The babes.

IAS, I was a huge fan of screenshots back in the day and I was hoping to get involved in the Halo 3 Screenshot Community.

I remember seeing in the Halo 2 multiplayer lobby, that you could check your stats here. I lurked for quite a while, then finally joined in mid 2008.

Supreme Dictator, Industrial Polluter, Megalomaniac, Corrupt Politician, Underhanded Reprobate, Rainforest Ravager, Puppy Kicker, Oil Spill Coordinator, Holiday Hater, and an Insurance Salesman.

A couple days after the game came out I saw one of the loading screen messages on Halo 3 about checking your stats on bungie.net, so here I be.

Something about statistics.

Got into gaming late. Played Halo and Halo 2 (Halo 3 was already out). Got Halo 3, for no reason searched it on the interwebz. Brought me here. And its been in my bookmarks ever since.

Why hello there.

Microwave ovens are quite large.

When we finally got high speed internet in 2007 and I was able to play Halo 3 online. That's also when I found out that little book that comes with the game actually has some good info in it. From there I found B.net and its been great.

If you're reading this, congratulations. You've just pressed a button to find out a little bit more about me. Not that you will, but well done anyway.

I registered so that I could follow stats and whatnot about Halo 3 back in the day!

Yeah... I'm that cool.
Robot Academy. Kinda sorta the best group on here.

I came here in 2008 to ask a question about my fileshare or something similar, and to share my awesome cone splatter in a failed attempt to get Recon armor. Yeah I know... But we all were noobs at some point, weren't we?

After that I turned inactive for quite a while and came back a couple of months before the launch Reach to read the weekly updates. It was then that I discovered private groups, the other forums and made some great friends. I've been here ever since.

There comes a time in every mans life... and that time is not now.

I knew about bungie.net for a while before i joined. I initially signed up to enter a screenshot contest in Halo 3 (a panoramic one i believe) which i didn't win. I started posting in the forums, discovered an amazing private group, and stuck with it until we ventured off site. I'm still there, but i come over here every now and then to catch up.

The distance between insanity and genius is measured only by success.

The problem with the world is that the intelligent people are full of doubts, while the stupid ones are full of confidence.

As you waste your breath complaining about life, Someone out there is breathing their last. Appreciate what you have.

If you stand for nothing, you will fall for anything.

I saw the notification whilst playing Halo 3 that said you could see extended stats on here so i signed up. Then on the front page i saw a spotlight of a group that helped with achievements so i stuck around.

It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who has given us the freedom to demonstrate. It is the soldier, not the lawyer, who has given us the right to a fair trial. And it is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves the flag, whose coffin is draped in the flag that allows the protester to burn the flag.Father Dennis Edward O'Brien, USMC
