I think we should start helping the repeated topics problem. The biggist contributor to this is new people, who have no clue what topics have and haven't been made before. They post a common topic, such as "Will there be bots in Halo 2?" Then those new people get flamed by a loser, leaves, and never return. The person who was a good member at other forums doesn't get to be one here because he was flamed just getting in.

I think we should do something about this. We should make a topic with common topics in them with an answer to each question. Alot of the rumors that have just been shot down don't contribute to this problem anymore, but if someone didn't see the news story they won't have a clue.

This will help the new people because they know what the most common topics are, and therefore won't post them. And this would imply to New Mombasa, The Library, The Maw, and sometimes(but rarely) The Underground. With the new tools the mods have, this should make the forums cleaner, except for the occasional user who doesn't care for the rules, who will hopefully be banned.

Yo Halo53, I'm real happy for you and I'ma let you finish, but Beyonce had one of the best bungie.net profiles of all time. OF ALL TIME!

Many new users post a topic before even reading any other posts at all. Iv'e seen 3 or 4 of the same topic on the front page at one time before. It's a good idea but I don't think it would be worth it because some people post a thread just to get attention and they don't care if it's on the front page.

Most people tend not to read anything, as we have seen to be the problem in many cases (not reading rules). So it's going to be impossible to stop them repeating topics (which will die out in time anyway). This might help a bit....it would need to be put somewhere obvious however, for the majority to take some notice of it. Maybe a straight link to Frankie's story would help.

I've been wanting to do a sort of "weekly review". In which, someone would put the weeks most interesting topics in...I know it won't solve everything, but it should help those few interesting topics stay alive.

As in a Bungie.net weekly news thing?

If so, I could write a few articles, mostly opinionative ones.

More a sticky topic on each board.

Bungie.net news post would be cool too...I'd like to bring back the seventh column week in review some how as well. That was pretty cool back when it was about sharing info about you're events and not about advertising your chapter.

Maybe we should allow the use of a caps-lock topic? Like: READ THIS BEFORE POSTING. IF YOU DON'T YOU WILL BE BANNED.

I do like the idea of a weekly news thing. We have a few people here who like to make comics, many people with strong opinions, a vast collection of people who spend their freetime researching Bungie lore both in-game and company-based.

I think it would do well.

How do you think us old guys felt when you started making threads that were already created? We felt the same thing, they only thing you can do is let it pass by unless Bungie does something. On the old site is was "When is Halo 2 going to come out?" that was the most popular re-thread.
