I love this community... But it seems like we don't do anything anymore. I mean I missed some time around January, but in the time I've been here I've seen us take the initiative for events maybe... 2, 3 times including tomorrow's Community Carnage Vs. Waypoint(Which is the only other CC I've seen)

What I'm saying is that it seems we've sort of lost the buzz here. I know Bungie's dark... But why is the CC the first thing I've seen the community actually band together to do in so long? Maybe I'm just not involved at the right times? Is it me alone in this thought?

Tell me I'm wrong, please. Maybe I'm right though. I've been here over a year, and it seems so empty since I got here. I mean, I hear so much about these private groups and how much fun they are and how active they are... But looking around, I can only see activity here(Mainly about DeeJ*No hate man*) and in the Flood(So much fun... >.>).

Maybe I'm just bored here and need to wait for Project Destiny(Popular assumed name, so I'm using it) before worrying the community is dead.

Oh. Right.

Yes, the forums have lost quite a bit of activity, particularly without any news or weekly updates, but it's just what happens. Once the new project is officially announced, there will probably be a large rise in activity. Then once it's release approaches, it'll probably be hard to keep up with the place.

As for little activity in private groups, you just need to look a little harder. Take Sapphire for example. It's one of the most active groups around, even more so than this forum.

You have no idea how revolting I can be.

DeeJ's Challenge

Don't worry about the Community being "dead". There is quite a lot of activity that goes on every couple weeks or so but then we also have downtime. All the integral community members are still here but most of the previously active users are silently waiting for something to catch their eye.

Look at it this way, if you are in your house with all the lights on, you have an almost infinite number of things you can do, but if you are put in an unknown house and someone cuts the power, what do you do?

Like everyone else, you search for a light. Just look for that light around here and I guarantee you will find it.

First off, love the coup and Quote.

Secondly, I know that's why it's lost some activity but... It's almost dead in my mind. Eh, maybe I'm envious and intimidated of the groups. The active ones have been around SOO long it seems and it just worries me if I try to poke my head around in one I'll be pushed out or ignored as I'm "the new guy"

Maybe it's just things are so slow around here in my eyes and we hardly do anything as a community(I mean I know there used to be a time where CC's were common and there were the fan-made podcasts, which I'd do if I was equipped too, among other things).

A small aside here, if one wanted to start some event going, what would be the best way to go about this

Post here asking for help and/or suggestions. I have seen quite a few community projects start that way.

Hi there! be sure to click that homepage link!

Whenever I hear "I've been thinking" I can't help but remember Cave Johnson's speech.

I also lol'd at the first comment being made by a guy with a portal 2 coup...

Hahaha, no, actually! Just coincidence! I've had the Coup since Portal 2 came out. I only quoted Cave because the title reminded me of the quote.

I actually did laugh when I saw it after I hit "submit" XD

Anyways... Good luck to us all in our bungie-ical endeavors my mates.

We should hold community discussion days where we discuss things about the community.

AND THEN WE HAVE THEM EVERY DAY

Maybe we could set up some sort of 7th column council to help get the community more motivated.

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

Twitter | Nothing

As far as I am aware (which might not be anywhere near the truth) we aren't supposed to do stuff like that in the forums anymore.
