Hey there Bungie.net community and trolls, I've got a question about where to start if I want to join the ranks of a great gaming business such as Bungie. So, before I throw myself into the thread for judgement/advice/trolling, here's a bit about me you may want to know:

I'm 16 years old, and have decided that I'm going to try my hand at coding and possibly getting into the crazy world of game development when I go through college. I have a 4.2 GPA as a sophomore in high school, I participate in varsity football, I love gaming, and I am currently learning Java , then moving on to C++ . I am also a considerably good writer, and have been in all of what little time I've had in life so far.

I wasn't quite sure where to ask this question, so I figured the forums was okay place to start. So, with a basic background of myself, what advice could you give a young teenager hoping to join the ranks of great businesses such as Bungie? Where should I go from here, and what classes should I take in high school and college to be well prepared? My high school offers computer math classes, web design classes, and computer aided design, but the latter is more of a shop class. I'd love to hear your feedback, even if you aren't quite sure of what I should do. If you post any further questions, I'll get back in this post.

Why do people in ship mutinies always ask for "better treatment"? I'd ask for a pinball machine, because with all that rocking back and forth, you'd get a lot of free games.

Maybe in order to understand mankind, we have to look at the word itself: "Mankind". Basically, it's made up of two separate words - "mank" and "ind". What do these words mean? It's a mystery, and that's why so is mankind.

What part of the business are you interested in?

You left that part out.

Sorry, I'm speaking generally as of now, because I've not explored far enough to be specific. I would like to either code or write.

Those are two drastically different paths.

Writing - take lots of English, literature and writing classes. Get a degree in something in that area.

Coding - Computer Science degree. You could focus on AI coding, or network things, etc.

Computer Graphics are not necessary unless you want to be part of a design team.
