I agree, then people wouldn't be too whiny about it.

  • 12.09.2011 11:29 AM PDT

Leon > HUNK > Wesker > Ada > Jill > Claire > Chris

I think it should be DLC. It could be twice the amount paid to unlock him as a pre-order bonus to make it fair to those who pre-ordered, but still allows people who didn't have the money at the time the ability to play as him.

  • 12.09.2011 1:23 PM PDT

twice the price to pre-order him would be about $120... I'm sure that would be a smart move, and no, it wouldn't be fair to pre-order people to release it at all.

  • 12.09.2011 3:52 PM PDT

Quit -blam!- stalking me you weirdo.

No. Its for pre- orders only.

By twice the price, I mean twice the extra money spent to pre-order. It's what $5? Then it would cost $10 to unlock him.

  • 12.09.2011 8:37 PM PDT

nope, I don't know where you get your games but I didn't pay a single cent extra to pre-order, if you did than you paid for a service that cost the retailer nothing.

The $5 you put down to pre-order is included in the purchase price; so, basically, it was free.

  • 12.10.2011 1:14 AM PDT

that's not the cost of pre-purchase, that's a payment so that they know your good for it and have already invested, if you just walked in and said "hey, I'll buy a copy in several weeks time, i promise" than never showed up they could end up out of pocket.

either way, giving the code out for any price is unfair to the pre orderers, because last i checked they told us we would be the only ones getting it, not the only one that would get it until somebody decides to give it to everyone.

If you want Sgt. Johnson, just buy a code off eBay. They don't expire.

He's right, it doesn't expire, especially not on January 31, 2010.

Yes, and, assuming the person does follow through with the purchase, the pre-order payment is then counted towards the purchase price of the game -- for example: if you put $5 down for a $60 game, you will pay $55 when you pick it up. If you don't pick up the game, you lose your $5.

  • 12.10.2011 10:30 AM PDT

No

  • 12.10.2011 10:46 AM PDT

If you don't pick it up you exit out of your contract with the retailer, and forfeit any money you already have on the game, if i pay all up front and fail to pick up my game they get to keep all of it, does that make all of my money (IE the total game price) the price of pre-order? no, because there is no pre-order fee, just a down payment on the game.

Uh, yeah, that's essentially what I was saying.

Nope it should stay Pre-Order bonus :)

You pre- ordered huh? heck, i'll mod it out if it's possible and i can.

Black Ops 2 I run two accounts warmup only at 1.97kdr...real is at 3.77. i'm in master division 4 league play. pm 4 clan inv...must have 2.5 kdr or better

I got it from buying through Bungie's store (about six months after release). I never even downloaded any code for it :3 I don't know how, but it is just on my xbox. I was like WTF how did this get here. Must have been put in the game by Bungie since I got it through their store.

no, what your saying is that they charge a standard fee for pre-order, and when you pick up the game it goes toward the retail price, but that's not true, because i can (if i so choose) pay the total cost upfront and not have to pay anything when i pick it up, that does not then make my $60 a pre-order fee.

again, it doesn't matter because charging any amount of money it would still be unfair to those that pre-ordered.

Please reread my posts and point out where I said or implied this.

twice the extra money spent to pre-order. It's what $5

I believe you said this, and this implies that they charge you five dollars to pre-order, which is incorrect, they merely require a down payment.

again, it's irrelevant either way.

Check the usernames, guy. That's not even my post.

Anyway, we are on the same page.

you were agreeing with him, while you weren't specifically stating it you sure as hell were defending it, and it is wrong, therfore you were wrong, therfore end of discussion.

also, don't reply to this, I'm stubborn and incapable of not responding to idiocy.

you were agreeing with him,

Your reading comprehension is shit, man. In my initial post I was calling him out, not defending him. He said it should cost $10 as he paid $5 to pre-order. I told him the $5 he put down is included in the purchase price (the same point you're arguing, though it is worded slightly different), so the item was technically free. And in my second post I was just clarifying what you were saying, not arguing against your point.

As I said, we are on the same page as far as how the pre-order works.

The game has been out for a while now; they should at least put Sgt. Johnson up for DLC.
