"none of you can be serious? halo 2 is in every way superior to halo CE...
for one, they fixed the lame multiplayer, yes, it was great for its time, but all a mu-f**ka had to do was rock the pistol, cause it was so powerful, also, the assult rifle is weak, WEAK, a rifle that loses in combat to a pistol at medium to long range isnt a very good weapon at all... another thing, the grenades????? are u retarded, is the master cheif a professional quarter back? if not, he shouldnt be able to throw a grenade 150 yards, things an halo 2 are more real, the physics are better, an the sound is fine. I cant respect someone who doesnt give credit where credit is due, you all need to settle down.....
but, halo 1's campaign is more fun, mostly cause i dont like playin as the arbiter.... "
one more thing, the guy who posted above me said bungie is a bunch of hypocrites?.... are u 10years old? do u even know what that word means? or do u like usin it out of context for fun? plus everythin in his post is retarded, he jus lists off things halo 2 has done, that he says he wishes halo 2 would have done?
I'm not even going to bother argueing about my use of the word "hypocrites". If you don't get it, forget it. Halo2 on legendary is harder than Halo 1, and I do find the Assault rifle too weak as a weapon in multiplayer. But it still felt like a bloody good gun to shoot, instead of that rubbish BR, which feels like a Game Boy trying to simulate a pop gun.
You're totally wrong about the grenades. The Master Chief is suppose to be a super cybernetically enhanced marine. Considering he can flip a tank with his little toe in Halo 1 AND Halo 2, I would expect him to throw a grenade 200 yards. In Halo 2, it seems he just manages to throw it where he won't get caught in the blast radius.
And as for the sound...If you've played Halo2 in surround sound, you probably won't see anything wrong with it. But if you've played it in stereo, you'll find it weak it compared to Halo 1. I know, I know, when Bungie made Halo 2 they focused on the surround sound. Sure it sounds good in surround sound, but it's not really a step forward for the overall sound if it means the stereo is left as rubbish. (and you'll probably find a high percentage of X Box owners have stereo).
Of course the Halo 2's multiplayer is better, but only because it's online. the Maps in Halo CE look cooler, feel cooler and are more fun to play. 90% of all the maps in Halo 2 are quite frankly crap, when you compare them to Halo 1's. And I hate to say this, but I even prefer the graphics in Halo1. Yes, the characters are shamefully blocky compared to todays standards but the textures are much more convincing. The surfaces look hard and solid, instead of Halo2's plastic and tin feel. The reflections are much more visible and realistic, and the shine isn't reduced to a mere lens-flare effect. And it seemed Bungie actually took the time to give the Covenant some proper animation, and character in halo1. In Halo 2, they fail to convince me that they're anything more then just a bunch of programs that have been told which line to run on and which dirction they should pretend to shoot in. I know what you're going to say: "they ARE just a bunch of programs", but the point is they're suppose to act with some form intelligence, even if it is artificial.
It's good of you to admit that Halo1's campaign is more fun, but you'll also need to admit that there's much more wrong with Halo 2 than playing as that f.....g alien.
Look dude, why don'y you start your own thread where you and your friends can rant about how fantastic the SMG is?
