Money well spent?

You could of just bought CE for rock bottom price. If you bought CEA for the maps, you could of just bought them for about $15.

If you bought it for the graphics then you're sad.

You can buy it on Amazon for 11 dollars. Last time I checked that was less than 40 dollars. In fact if you bought the original on Amazon and then bought the DLC you would save 4 of your precious dollars.

For some reason, I'm just not enjoying it at all. I got it on release day and I'm only on Assault On The Control Room. I loved CE but I just don't want to put the disk in anymore, not when there are other, better games like Skyrim and Battlefield 3.

That's fake.

If it was real. Microsoft would of taken it down a long time ago for copyright/leaked information.

I saw some link thingy clicked on it and it went to Halo Waypoint. If it was real it would be talked about a lot.

In fact if you bought the original on Amazon and then bought the DLC you would save 4 of your precious dollars.Halo: CEA is $40 because:

1. Fully remastered campaign. Oh man this ain't no biggie. They also included an optional, remastered soundtrack. Also not to mention you have the ability to have 2-Player co-op over Xbox Live, which you didn't have before. You also have the option to switch back to classic mode if you want. But I guess none of that matters, huh.

2. Halo: Reach is integrated into the Halo: CEA disk. Reach is a 50-60$ game last time I checked. Even though Reach is down graded a little bit, that is still two games for $40.

3. You get an extra free code for $15 worth of maps, to put on your regular copy of Reach if you are too lazy to switch back and forth between disks.

Besides, some people haven't played Halo: CE before so this will be like a new game to them. If they say it is a worthy investment then that is up to them. But unless you are his mother then it isn't you who can say someone is wasting his/her money when he/she believes that they made a worthy investment.

Anyways I definitely believe this game was money well spent. I played co-op with a friend and man it brings back the memories so well.

You can only play the anniversary playlist with CEA, not all of Reach.

You can still forge, use theater and play custom games, ONLY on those maps. That is what I meant when I said reach was 'down graded'.

1. The exact same story and gameplay can be experienced for less and graphics are no excuse to justify buying it.

2. You can buy Reach for $20 on Amazon if you actually checked.

3. Buying the DLC separately is still cheaper than forking over $40.

4. That is also not an excuse if they want to play an old game they can get the original and save money. Although I know the people you are talking about are the brainless 8 year olds who get every game because it's the newest thing out.

Nice try though. Next time come with valid points.

Eh... its as simple as "I wanted to". Since my Xbox was long gone (2005), it was a chance to have it back, with some extras, and co-op over Live.

Now, yank your panties outta yer hurt butt and quit the BS. OP got it, and its his OPINION that it was a good buy for reasons that matter to him. Its your OPINION, that the opposite is true. OMG! You're BOTH right!

effingkids...

I honestly don't know why I shelled out $40 for a game I already own :\
Live co-op is entertaining, but really glitchy, and I had to replay the Library more than 3 times over to get the game to realize that I'd already beaten it so I could move on to the next level.

A great reason to not waste %40.

1. It can be experienced for less with less features, that is to say. I also believe in a rule of business (in most, but specific situations) which is that you get what you pay for. If you want a cheaper version of the game, then buy the cheaper version. If you want to get a better/more expensive version, then you are going to hand over more money to your retailer.

2. I don't go on Amazon simply because I don't buy on Amazon. And I don't check into buying games online because:

A - It takes ages to arrive at my door and there is a chance they can get lost.
B - Shipping to my house isn't cheap.
C - I can save more money by walking to my game store 30 minutes from me then I could paying shipping cost buying.

I go by the price the game is sold for at my local EB Games store (Canadian version of Gamestop) if you were wondering.

3. If DLC is sold seperately for $15, then just because it comes with a $40 game package doesn't mean that the DLC is $40. That isn't how it works.

Halo: CE (Original) = $15
Halo: CEA (Remastered with more features) = $20-25
Halo: Reach (Downgraded) = $15-20
New DLC (Extra code) = $15
Total = $50-65
343ind. Price = $40

If anything, this is a seriously good deal. IMO

4. No. It is not an excuse. Thus, why I never labeled it as a number. I simply stated it as one reason to look at the glass half full. Assuming all of my friends are 8 year old retards, I will calmly let you know that most of my friends are 15-25 years old and that half of them have never played Halo CE. Most of them aren't spoiled and can barely afford to buy games at all. As for me, I work for every dollar that I have. If I make a few extra bucks then why not?

I could go on all day but I am arguing with a brick wall as it is like an atheist trying to turn a Christian or a Jew into an atheist. If you don't want to buy the game, don't buy it. If someone else thinks that the game was worth spending their money, then that is their opinion. I have no hostile intentions and I only wanted to clarify with you why the game costs as much as it does.
