i have halo cryptum but i have never read passed the 1st chapter, it is probably because im finding it hard to read, it may also have something to do with my dyslexia. so should i try to struggle on with reading it and does it get easier and will the next book be written in the same way??

Still using a pump-action shotgun over 500 years in the future I see.

omg not realistic stop game production plz

I'm afraid you'll have to struggle on, OP; although maybe Cryptum will be released on audiobook at some point?

:)

If anything, it gets worse. Have you tried Grey's suggestion?

And the sequel will be written similar, yes.

@accordingto343

Your one stop shop for all of 343's fabulous errors and ridiculous notions in the Halo lore.

Not that surprising when you consider the authors, both excellent authors, but vastly different. Traviss makes things easy to read and packs in some good character building, perhaps not with Glasslands since I despise that book, but her Star Wars and Gears books are nice. Greg Bear is a more hard sci-fi writer, lots of technical stuff that requires a bit of imagination.

I definitely think you should. It adds a lot to the lore and is a very good book if you can follow it.

I would say it is from the perspective that it's not as technical or wordy like Cryptum is. But it is harder to read from the perspective that it jumps around a lot and follows multiple story-lines from many different characters' points of view. I'm not sure if that means it's easier, harder or the same difficulty to read with dyslexia, though.
