Subject: How can I get better at no-scoping?

The 343 forums suck. They're full of retarded kids and mods who got butthurt in the B.net forums for being told that they're bad.

Overall I would consider myself a pretty good all-around player. I can perform any role that is asked of me, and I can perform it well: I can snipe, push for the objective, play defense, be support for others, be a distraction, drive and/or gun in a Hog, drive any other vehicle, Revy snipe, control power weapons, and even trash talk lol. I am an all-around good player.

However, I can't no-scope very well. Sometimes I'll get lucky and even a few times I can actually plan and carry out a no-scope, but most of the time I can't do it; it's really a hindrance in Team Snipers cuz they have all these small maps in there for some reason. But it also sucks just in general.

So my question is: How would the people that CAN no-scope well explain how they do it, and how can I improve that skill?

Aim for the head.
Fire.
Try to predict where the moving target will be.
Get a big HD Tv (seriously people say this helps alot)

DERP DERP

you should use the scopes night vision to help you aim then practice your backflips to get better at no-scopeing

It's mostly just luck and timing so you can't really get better at no scoping.

I know that strafing left and right helps instead of trying to turn around your aim.

Always up for REACH customs!

Play some custom games of legendary Skirmigeddon Sniperfight with bottomless clip enabled for the ultimate no-scoping practice.

It also seems like sometimes when I think the shot should hit (because the reticule passes over the guy as I fire), it goes past them. Do you have to lead the target? I didn't think so because it's hit-scan, but sometimes I wonder.

I find a small lead helps not much so its just in front of where the head will be.

How much variance is "head-level"? Does it have to be spot-on or is the head's hitbox as large as it is for the DMR?

A big HD tv?

So that will make you better at no-scope and worse at everything else.

I can't do big tv's.

I'd say just aim for the visor, though I prefer neck level as if you miss the headshot you normally get a bodyshot count anyway and its a slightly bigger target to hit

Alright, thanks for the advice.

One last thing: Is it better to try to go for the headshot no-scope or the two body shots?

Too small and you won't see -blam!-.
Too big and you won't be able to see everything.

Bigger TVs do help, but to a limit. I have a 32" in my dorm and that was better than my old 22", but my family has a 50" and I don't see much of an improvement between that and my dorm one.

Go for shots you know you can hit.

Awesome-sauce. Thanks for the advice guys.

Would any of you want to play later tonight? I still don't have Anniversary and most of my good friends that I played with went there. I would like a good team to help with the weekly, anyone in?

I'm better on the 27, but play on the 37.

The 55? No...just no. Too big. I should try the no-scoping on it to see if it works.
