Life is a journey, if you spend all of it with your nose in your map, you may miss some of the best parts.

I'm not the one on about how there's no possible counter to an AA and people wouldn't be able to leave spawn.

Just because you can adapt, it doesn't make it any more tolerable.

Your primary playlist is BTB. In which you maintain an 0.82 K/D. I can only assume your mother dropped you on your head multiple times as a child. And that you contracted a flesh-eating disease that caused your thumbs to be amputated. And that you have Parkinsons.

Clearly it wouldn't make a difference to you if the other team was composed of stunningly average players or if it were MLG pros. You'd get stomped on either way, and I doubt there'd be any leeway for you to form any intelligent insight into the balance (or lack thereof) of Jetpack.

It is incredibly abusable on maps like Cage and Asylum, and that's all there is to it. But if you want to keep blathering on about counters to problems you don't even understand in the first place, let me preempt you. The counter to good players abusing jetpack is to abuse jetpack yourself. And obviously nothing makes for more exciting gameplay than a match of jetpack whorage.

Yeh shame I'm that guy in BTB you know the one who concentrates on the objective, the one who goes for the flag in some insane plan while the rest of the team sit there going
"I ain't going in there I'll lose my cool K/D ratio. Doesn't matter that if everyone did this the game would progress no where, I do wish people would stop moaning about how BTB has objectives and just let me play my slayer mode without them bothering me"
though again don't let me stop sitting there acting like a huge tool and classing K/D ratio as anything other than a number.

hhhhhmmm so I've been reduced to having to vs an average team.... all done I've vsed plenty recently.

Because we've never heard that excuse before. Good objective players still go positive. Dying isn't actually an effective way to play the objective.

Although I guess it's not like you're crap at Rumble Pit as w... oh wait. Let me guess, you play the objective there too, amirite? Shame about your win/loss ratio.

In BTB. Lol.

Besides, you're missing the point. Since an entirely average player could stomp on you, you're not even at the basic level of competence required to actually perceive the advantages jetpack can bestow. You're just dying anyway.

Signatures are for little kids.

I've learned to deal with all of them, I see most of them used most matches.

I generally only use jetpack and sprint.

Some maps the shortcuts you can take with jetpack make it the obvious choice otherwise sprint since it can help me choose when I want to engage instead of being pressed into a fight when I'm not ready.

I find it strange that someone of your skill level is lecturing someone of his skill level on how to play the game. Doesn't make much sense for the lesser player to be giving any type of lesson to the better.

Be sure to tell everyone how cool you are. If you don't tell them, they won't know.

Jetpacks. But I only want to play anniversary now so I don't consider it a problem anymore.

@spawn031

"So much of what we do is ephemeral and quickly forgotten, even by ourselves, so it's gratifying to have something you have done linger in people's memories." John Williams

That's where it gets the most abuse at though. Taking shortcuts especially when a full team all uses Jetpacks against you. It's very frustrating, even more than Armor Lock. When people know how to abuse things like soft kill zones, even for 10 seconds, it literally can make/break a game.

Jetpack, hands down. AL is still at least confined to the map and its specific areaand map flow. Jetpack on the otherhand takes a massive dump on all of that.

Armor Lock in FFA gametypes is officially the WORST....IDEA....EVER

  • 11.23.2011 7:35 AM PDT

Armor lock is the one that is used most. However if the masses of players opted for jet pack or evade both of those would be equally as frustrating. I much prefer the no AA 120% speed gametypes. I have to use evade or sprint at default speed as I hate how slow you move.

I don't understand why anyone would use this in a FFA game. Seriously all it accomplishes is player B gets the kill for you instead of player A. You will die if you armor lock, it's a grenade attractant. You are much better off dying and respawning to get another kill than you are trying to stay alive.

Depends what you're dying for, I love the idea people are worthless unless they have a positive K/D ratio, the amount of people just like you who look peoples service records up on this site before matches and underestimate me, the fact that if true skill worked perfectly being against equal opponents would put everyone at 1.0 and the fact in the games K/D doesn't make you a better player, the higher K/D doesn't give you an auto win, all it says about is what you do in the game and in many cases how much time you put into K/D boosting, doesn't matter that my K/D isn't posative doesn't mean I can't win in matches.

Although I guess it's not like you're crap at Rumble Pit as w... oh wait. Let me guess, you play the objective there too, amirite? Shame about your win/loss ratio.

Stange so the fact unlike a lot of "pros" like you I don't go into Rumble pit in a party and boost, yeh I said it people boost in parties, in objective mode one will hold the objective and his mates defend him, or in slayer its not uncommon now to see guests running to the same spot over and over to be killed off to help their friend win. Oddly in rumble pit in the majority of games I'm 3rd or higher on the board so yeh 3rd is a loss, I must go preserve honour using this Sword *proceeds to commit seppuku for being terrible at a video game*

Well that was fun here's the sword might be a change from that stick up your rear.

I'm amazed at how people being shown up annoyed them pull the "oh your ignorant card" then when pressed refuse to explain stating "oh you're too stupid to understand" I love people of those ego levels as its great knowing they have serious issues of self esteem and rather than arguing or putting their point across like the intelligent people they claim to be they just throw out the something saying how they are too smart for you to understand how about rather than assume you try me, and stop thinking you know.

Yeh that's why these "pros" are getting all upset they can't get the concept that people can have ideas that are good without needed to be on their level, because apparently being on their skill level in halo reach increases your intellect exponentially and makes you a more valid human being too [/sarcasm]

I dunno I'm pretty sure implying someone should be banned is against the rules here as is deliberate off topic replies like this that simply attack a single user and not you know address any points raised.
