Straight Edge.

I'm thinking of picking up Halo 2 Vista, since Halo 2 is probably my favorite game of all time. Is it worth the money? I have heard alot of mixed opinions on it.

Sometimes, I dream about cheese.

i dont see why people hate it. as long as you've got an xbox 360 controller for PC, you will love it.
the only downside compared to its xbox counterpart is no co-op.

In reality I don't think there's anything wrong with posting some things about Halo 2 Vista in this forum. It's probably best that he get opinions from here on it than the PC forum. Hardly anyone there is any help. It's like jumping into a pit of sharks... It was called "The Maw" at one time, you know?

If you're okay with using server browsers instead of Matchmaking (I personally prefer it) and have a good enough computer, I'd say go for it. If you already have an Xbox, Halo 2, and would rather use a controller over a keyboard/mouse, you might want to stay with Xlink Kai.

(Just so you're not confused by what I just said, Halo 2 Vista does in fact have Xbox 360 controller support that acts EXACTLY like it does on the Xbox version of the game. What I'm referring to is that you wouldn't care about having kb/m support if staying with the Xbox version of the game)

You don't need a very good computer to run Halo 2 Vista, if you turn all the graphics down so it'll run on your computer, the graphics are just as good or better than on Xbox.

I didn't say very good, I said good enough. When people who are unfamiliar with PC gaming hear "You don't need a very good computer" they think their integrated graphics and 512mb RAM will be able to handle the game. :X

Ha that's a funny joke on both counts. If you want to know if your computer can run Halo 2 vista then try this site.

My computer is nothing special and is not a gaming computer at all and I can run Halo 2 just fine. It's just a common desktop computer.

I know yours can run it, but if you've ever been around the PC forum you'd see some pretty ignorant people thinking their PC from 2004 is a decent computer. They come in completely surprised why they can't run Halo 2 Vista. (Their computer might be stronger than the original Xbox, but Halo 2 Vista requires much more than it ever should to play. Even at lowest settings.)

Yes, I AM just that awesome.

The multiplayer level isn't very high, you'll need a somewhat good computer to run it (Just wait until a fan remakes Halo II in CryENGINE as a joke), and from what I've heard, it doesn't always work on Win7.

On my PC it runs fine.

My PC Specs:

WIN7 32Bit
Pentium Dual-COre E5400 @ 2,7Ghz
4GB RAM
ATI Radeon HD 5400 1GB
and a 360 Controller connected to my PC......

My PC isnt the newest but with a setup like this
u can easy play Halo2 on PC.
