Subject: what is a bad K/D to you?

It only takes a simple question to change everything.

As long as you're having fun, your k/d is fine.

2) I don't play with parties, I play with "randoms"
Most people with insanely high K/Ds tend to play team games with a good party or team. I almost never do that. I just search and play with whoever I get, a lot of the time they don't play or are really bad or just low ranks.

My W/L really sucks too because of this, I was just reminded. I have an overall W/L percentage of around 52% which is awful.

I would just like to point out that really, the only stat that is affected by me being a random is W/L, not K/D. In the playlists in which I exclusively play by myself, my W/L is closer to 60% while I still can pull K/Ds over 2.0 (except for SWAT and Snipers).

My W/L really sucks too because of this, I was just reminded. I have an overall W/L percentage of around 52% which is awful. And K/D is affected because if all my teammates are incompetent and cannot pull their own weight and are getting raped, it will usually give the enemy team a chance to get a good "camping" spot set up and obtain all the power weapons and pin us and down and spawn kill us.

(I realize I used "and" about 50 times in that last sentence, but whatever.)

2. Except when my team sucks and all want to split off, as I said, I usually search solo.

I search mostly solo too. Just learn weapon spawns and avoid dangerous areas like the lifts on Sword Base, also try to choose sprint or evade as your ability. Believe me, playing with sprint will make you better.

Oh gawd, so much quoteception here. Lol.

And yes I do need to work on learning the weapon spawns and avoiding the "dangerous areas" because I do those all the time.

I always choose sprint, and evade isn't in Team Slayer.

If you have more kills than deaths you're fine in my book.

We aren't going to win very many games if you're negative all the time.

  • 11.23.2011 11:34 PM PDT

if you mostly play with teams than anything lower than 2.5 is unexceptable. if you search by yourself alot in team playists than anything lower than 1.5 is bad in my eyes.

How I kill? Simple effective Head shots and Beat downs. My newest favorite saying? Bullet meet head, head meet bullet. I would love to say this to a current telemarketer. I now have come up with Operation Laser. Operation Laser is the basis of basic lasering. Spartan Lasers ftw!

A bad K/D is those who have .5 and no room for improvement, and kill farmers. I like playing as a team though, I use K/D as a means to troll people on XBL. If the person is cool and I get along with him/her well, I really don't care.

  • 11.24.2011 1:09 AM PDT

K/D doenst really matter. You could have a crap K/D buit as long as it is going up, who cares. I am on 1.23 but it has been steadily going up, who knows what you actual K/D is? you probably have to wait until is peaks...

2.5 is pretty high actually, but high K/Ds for those that play with teams isn't that impressive to me anyway.

It's really easy to pile up kills when your squad is consciously team shooting, helping each other out, etc.

I have way more respect for randoms with positive K/D than I do team/group players.

I think if you play by yourself getting randoms than anything about 1.0 is respectable and anything above 1.5 is really good. If you play with good people often then you should be above a 1.5 to be good. Also if you have more kills than deaths in slayer your helping win if not your making your team lose that's why simply 1.0 or better is always rule of thumb.

Nothing i just play for fun.
Fun is subjective.

so is ignorance

/facepalm

Not only saying that doesn't make any sense, it also is false. Ignorance is not subjective.

1.00 and below is bad to me

  • 11.24.2011 2:31 AM PDT

Welcome.
You have just entered my mind. Please sign the contract before continuing further into this black hole to acknowledge I am not at fault if any mental/physical damage is caused to you whilst viewing my history. If any damage to yourself is caused, please call your whaambulance for advice.

I judge K/D ratio's by their gun skill rather than vehicle skill. So instead of just looking at their overall K/D, look at their DMR,sniper etc etc K/D's. Some people tend to hide their true skill underneath their mountain of vehicle kills.

Anything less that 2 is bad in competitive.

Not logical.

Most likely, these are how I sort it:

Anything below 1.00 is bad. Anything below 0.9 is REALLY bad.

Between 1.00 and 1.2 is meh. It isn't bad but I still don't like it.

1.2-1.5 is decent. Nothing special, but good enough that I will count on you to pull your own weight.

1.5-2 is good. I can consistently rely on you to do well for the team the entire game.

Above 2.0 is really good, and there isn't really any way that I can classify you better than that just based on the K/D ratio.

Above 3.5 or whatever just means you're a -blam!- who will hang back and try harder to avoid death than to actually try to win *cough*cough*Tdub*cough*cough*

Usually.

Pretty much this. Less snobby high k/d player opinion, and more fact.

How so? Competitive is extremely easy because a vast majority of the players are absolutely horrible. Getting anything less than a 2.0 k/d makes you bad imo.

Halo 3: ReV Eskimo

eventually ill be back on Reach and CEA. i enjoy gaming for fun, im a great player and i enjoy smoking while i play. so any chill players feel free to add me. I in NO way support halocharts; old username.

anything above 1.0, i play baked so my give-a-f*** meter runs low ;) i play to have a good time and all my friends suck but we had/have fun.

  • 11.24.2011 6:00 AM PDT

A competitive players main goal is to win.
A casuals main goal is to have fun regardless of whether that results in a win or loss.
It has nothing to do with individual skill or knowledge, it has to do with the reason you play.

I'd rather have a person with k/d of 1.00 on my team than higher k/d who betrays for power weapons or gets mad over a video game.

anything below 2.0 if you have less than 500 MLG games

Everyone is entitled to their own wrong opinion.

I'm part of the Bungie.net Minecraft group/server called SeptaCrafters
We're a Bungie.net group that goes to our very own Bungie server. Most players are from the Halo community either off Bungie itself or through word to Halo friends.

Anything below 1.3

  • 11.24.2011 8:30 AM PDT

Too many variables to consider.

  • 11.24.2011 8:36 AM PDT

Anything below 0.80. Being that I know a lot of mental Objective players who have a K/D Like that and are actually good at the game, Just die a lot for the Objective. Though then again, I'm Objective usually and mine is 1.81.
